This is a very unsettling time for many and being able to help my clients find their footing in such an uncertain time is my passion. I work with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction and trauma. My approach is to provide a safe, non judgmental space for growth to occur. I am comfortable working with individuals and couples, and often explore and help resolve maladaptive patterns, cognitions, and intimacy issues that many people struggle with. I help clients identify their goals, develop a plan, and encouragement and accountability to implement that plan, tweaking along the way if needed.

It can be challenging to make the decision to get help through therapy. Admitting that you need help can feel daunting and overwhelming. I'm here to support you through these challenges. I believe that the best therapy involves collaboration between therapist and client. I understand the complexities and nuances of life and honor your individual path forward. I work with clients dealing with life transitions, relational difficulties, sexual problems, identity confusion and development, and trauma. I believe that insight and understanding into patterns and conflicts can be important factors for healing.

I have worked with children and adolescents throughout my training and career in settings such as schools, clinics and hospitals as well as in private practice. I work with a variety of adult clients with career-work, relationship and life-transitional issues. I have been licensed as a Psychologist and practicing for over 20 years. I recieved my BA at the University of Michigan and have a MA in Human Development from the University of Chicago I also have an MA and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology.

I use Internal Family Systems (IFS), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and Post Induction Therapy (PIT) to get to the root of the problems keeping you stuck, isolated and in survival mode. I'll be the compassionate guide who tells you the truth and gives you a soft place to land. It takes so much courage to begin working toward the life and relationships you want most. I believe the most important element of effective therapy is the genuine connection between the patient and therapist. My approach to therapy is interactive, supportive, and empathic. I am experienced with working with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, trauma, stress, and life transitions. l also work with people who are feeling stuck or unfulfilled in life. I have a special passion for helping couples rebuild and redevelop trust after an affair and have extensive experience working with firefighters and other first responders.

I have extensive experience working with patients with dual diagnoses that include substance abuse, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, adjustment disorders, and personality disorders. Over the last 8 years I have worked with clients struggling with comorbid substance use and mood disorders. I believe that people are resilient and I cherish that, and work to enhance that resiliency.
