I believe the most important element of effective therapy is the genuine connection between the patient and therapist. My approach to therapy is interactive, supportive, and empathic. I am experienced with working with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, trauma, stress, and life transitions. l also work with people who are feeling stuck or unfulfilled in life. I have a special passion for helping couples rebuild and redevelop trust after an affair and have extensive experience working with firefighters and other first responders.
I specialize in treating trauma across the lifespan from children to older adults. I have been trained in multiple therapeutic disciplines such as DBT, CBT, ACT, EMDR, Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy. I am also a level 2 trained Gottman Therapist. My style is best described as warm, genuine, and nonjudgmental.
As a licensed clinical psychologist, I have worked at Boston University Medical Center, Harbor-UCLA and currently with The Los Angeles Fire Department, my experience is extensive, diverse, and contemporary.
