“The wound is the place where the light enters you” – Rumi. Life stressors can contribute to feelings of anxiety, depression, loneliness, and even hopelessness. If you are feeling any of these, know that you are not alone. I trust in the power of therapy to re-examine stressful situations in a therapeutic environment. I am passionate about working with children, families, individuals, and couples to help identify barriers and dysfunctions; and to help facilitate positive changes to reinstate normal functions.
I employ an eclectic approach drawing from trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), Family Systems Theory, Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian). I am certified by and employ Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) techniques an evidence-based approach to“Kids do well if they can…”developed by Dr. Stuart Ablon. I am fluent in English, Farsi, & Kurdish.
You are not alone! Please call or email me to discuss the specifics of your condition and plan for an initial appointment. I have over 16 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and families of diverse backgrounds who experienced trauma and suffered from PTSD, depression, anxiety, and ADHD. I look forward to speaking with you.
