I work with teens and adults who struggle with depression and anxiety with a specialization helping neurodivergent individuals. I like to help people realize their own authentic self and sometimes that is using expressive art therapy when words can not describe the emotional pain or pattern of thoughts.

I believe you already possess within you, everything you need to work through whatever issue you bring to my office. You simply need some help pulling it out. Maybe you know exactly what the issue is or maybe you are having a hard time pinpointing what is going on, but you know something "feels off". Two of the biggest questions we tackle in your first session are, "What final made you decide to come to therapy?" and "What do you hope to gain by coming to therapy?" These two questions help lay the foundation we will build on.

I focus heavily on existential and interpersonal issues in my practice and encourage clients to explore and express their needs and wants in work, school, relationships and beyond. I have experience working with teenagers, young adults, and their families after years of being a therapist and working in related jobs. I work with clients to aid them in reaching their specific personal goals or just being an objective ear to listen to them and try to provide a different perspective. I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy and use a variety of techniques tailored to meet my client's needs.

I believe all individuals carry heavy questions about their life: Why am I here? What am I supposed do? Why do I feel bad? The weight of these thoughts can cause distress in our minds and bodies. All age groups bear these questions, albeit in different ways and expressions. There are not simple answers, yet you can find healing through the universality of exploring your meaning. With over a decade experience in a variety of settings, my passion lies in working a hybrid of school based and outpatient - working with teens, adults, and the LGBTQIA+ population. I most enjoy working through life transitions be it changes in circumstances, gender/sexuality, the natural ebbs and flows of life, or taking the next step (adulthood, career, marriage, etc). I am trained in EMDR & TF-CBT, thus I excel at working with trauma. I'm a GALAP pledge signer and take a no gatekeeping approach to serving trans and nonbinary clients. I enjoy helping families find common ground and mutual respect even around difficult subjects.

I believe that everyone can be successful, and that success looks different for everyone.  I am passionate about empowering clients to learn and utilize REBT skills so they can deal with their anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders inside and out of individual and group sessions. I love running groups and doing sessions in various ways such as adventure therapy, art therapy and experiential therapy in addition to individual sessions in a typical setting.

Asking for help is difficult, sometimes overwhelming. Most people are touched by anxiety, depression, relationship issues and even addiction at some point in their lives, either within themselves or a family member. I create a safe, relaxing and inviting space for you to begin dealing with these difficult, but treatable issues.
