Drawing on a variety of tools, we will collaborate on a treatment plan that fits your needs, goals, and values. My approach to therapy is emotive, cathartic, and cognitive. I work with people from all walks of life and collaborate with you to help shape the life you want to live.
As a trauma-informed therapist and drug counselor, I stress evidence-based approaches to healing. I work to improve outcomes regarding anxiety, depression, and other issues, including the unique ones which affect LGBTQIA+ folk, people in nontraditional relationships. and kinksters. I emphasize self-acceptance, harm reduction, and sex positivity.
As your therapist, I see myself as an advisor and an ally. We may use various approaches: cognitive-behavioral to help you take back control of your life; psychodynamic “talk” to clarify your thoughts, needs, and goals; motivational enhancement to help you put it all into action; and narrative therapy to clarify the story of your past, present, and future.
