I believe that creating a safe space infused with respect, compassion, and humor is central to supporting people to embark on a journey towards healing. I incorporate somatic and values-based approaches to help people identify and release longstanding patterns and beliefs that are no longer serving them and move towards a more balanced, satisfying, and values-based life. As a Level II Certified Sensorimotor therapist, I understand the wisdom of the body in processing trauma and childhood wounds, as well as serving as a source of healing and creativity. In addition to “bottom up” somatic processing, I also incorporate principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Over the past fifteen years, my experiences, both professionally and personally, have led me to appreciate, even more, the beauty, resilience, and creativity in humanity. My goal is to provide a supportive and inclusive space where all people feel welcomed for who they are, regardless of gender identity, expression, or sexual orientation.
