Hello, my name is Nick and I am glad you have decided to begin your wellness journey with me. I have been in the field since November 2020, and I have developed a professional interest in trauma, anxiety, depression, and struggles with life changes. If you are looking to heal from the past or cope with the present, I offer the analysis, encouragement, and constructive confrontation that will set you up for ongoing mental wellness and stability.

I have many years of experience working with early childhood trauma and severe, persistent mental illness, varying from ages of 5 years to 70+. My goal is to empower and advocate for positive change within you, as the individual, and the system as a whole. The place that we will create together is a safe and judgement free space. I work through an Existential foundation, to help those I work with seek meaning and purpose, with skills built from experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy, all within the context of a trauma-informed approach.

Part of being human is that we all experience challenges, suffering, and brokenness in our lives. My strategy with psychological assessment is to help people understand their underlying condition and provide recommendations to help them thrive. I do not accept insurance for psychological testing but do accept insurance for ongoing therapy.

My current practice includes a focus on mental health needs for adults and young adults dealing with difficult life transitions. I have past experience working in a nursing home setting so I am well versed in Alzheimer's and Dementia Care and Behaviors as well as family and caregiver needs for that population.

Dr. Stringer is currently treating children over the age of 12, adults, older adults, couples, and individuals. She has extensive experience treating anxiety, mood disorders, relationship difficulties, adjustment disorders, occupational stress, personality disorders, chronic pain and illness as well as anger management issues. Of particular interest is resiliency and building protective factors to increase coping skills whether it is at work, with family or with a life change.

I have been an active member of my community for most of my life. I began caring for others at age 15 by working as a nursing assistant in a local nursing home. I have volunteered as an Emergency Medical Technician and was a foster parent for nearly 100 children over a 13 year time span. I am passionate about helping people of all ages reach their personal or professional goals.
