Do you ever ask yourself why? Why am i going through what I am going through? Why cant i just "get over" it or move past it? The clients that I commonly work with are clients that are ready for a change. They have either tried to change on their own, or they have realized that in order to have lasting change they need a good support system. Many clients that I work with deal with depression, anxiety, bipolar, personality disorders, substance use issues, relationship issues, and issues dealing with daily life.

I am a clinical social worker with 25 years of experience in helping clients improve their lives. I believe therapy should be goal-oriented and client-driven. I utilize a strengths-based approach that starts with what is strong rather than what is wrong. This strengths based approach stems from my belief that everyone can set and reach goals in their life. My training in social work lends itself to a holistic approach to helping people. Consequently, I seek to treat the whole person: mind, body and spirit. I primarily work with clients ages 14 and up to help individuals and families find solutions that work for them.

The focus of our practice, is to assist adults, children, and families with obtaining relatable therapy, to reach goals. We assess situations in your life which contribute to current emotions behaviors and thought patterns. With child and adolescent clients our focus is similar, with the addition of close communication with the family. Moreover, with child and adolescents, we will focus on depression, impulsive behavior, limited attention span, oppositional/defiant behaviors, dishonesty, and social issues in school/home. Family and/or friends are welcome in your sessions for support. We do offer 430p-630p, and weekend appointments.

Trauma, depression, anxiety, low self esteem, and recent life changes are just a few examples of daily ups and downs that everyone can struggle with from time to time. How to begin making any changes can be hard and/or overwhelming but you and I will work together to develop approaches that work to solve or manage these challenges.

I believe people are looking for emotionally safe environments to talk about what is going on in their lives and how to implement coping skills to maintain a healthy mental health life. Everyone is struggling with something and often people are unable to talk about personal things with their family or friends. This is a safe place to do this with someone who is empathetic and compassionate and believes in finding healthy solutions to whatever is taking place. In therapy will work together to discuss your desired therapy goals and work together to get you there!
