I integrate AEDP, EMDR, hypnosis, IFS parts work, mindfulness, and somatic work as needed to reduce the effects of attachment wounds and traumatic experiences.
Are you feeling stuck or alone in your struggles? Are you dealing with anxiety, depression, or relationship problems? Are your past traumas getting in the way of healthy, emotionally connected relationships? You do not have to go through it alone. I can provide a safe space, collaborate with you to make sense of what is happening inside of you, and guide you towards healing and growth. Communicating more effectively, understanding and connecting with self and others on a more deeper level can help you feel more empowered and free to live life to the fullest.

Additionally, I am trained in EMDR, and AEDP (Level1).
Life as an immigrant or someone managing a multicultural identity can be incredibly challenging. You might feel like you’re straddling two worlds, trying to find where you truly belong. Add to that the complexities of family dynamics, the impact of trauma, and the nuance of spiritual exploration, and it’s no wonder you might feel overwhelmed. I am passionate to help people like you—those who are navigating through these multifaceted challenges and seeking a sense of peace and belonging.

I often incorporate accelerated experiential dynamic psychotherapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mind-body connections to address the complexities of each individual and their struggles.
How do you feel about seeking help, especially for your mental and emotional health? Do you think it’s a sign of weakness? As a psychologist, I see it as a sign of strength, courage, self-awareness and maturity. I work with my clients to identify what they’re needing in order for them to improve their lives. I help people find the ways to change and experience personal growth and healing. I support my clients as they discover new aspects of themselves, which can be a challenging but rewarding process.

You had a difficult childhood where you felt hurt, neglected, misunderstood, or experienced trauma. You now often feel alone, confused, and disconnected from your authentic self. Your anxiety and/or depression are making you feel hopeless and you're wondering if something is deeply wrong with you. You spend hours each day ruminating about your problems and numbing your pain with the various vices of drugs, alcohol, food, and social media. Deep inside you want "the life" but another part holds you back

If you find yourself overwhelmed, stressed, reactive, burdened or disconnected from yourself and others, you are in the right place. Perfectionism and a harsh inner critic will keep you from feeling comfortable in your body and relationships. In 2024, we face a lot of challenges and just being human is hard. Maybe you are turning toward food, media or substances to soothe yourself. If this is you, I can help you slow down and begin your journey of moving toward healing.

I treat therapists and other healthcare professionals from a psychodynamic, person-centered, and AEDP-oriented framework.
I am a therapist for therapists specializing in complex trauma, low self-esteem, self-harm, substance use, and existential anxiety. As a mental health professional, you may present as successful, but you might feel ashamed or unsettled in life. You might also experience fears about your capacity to help clients or manage your emotional well-being. You probably "know" the right coping skills and "have the insight," but you're seeking deeper introspection and hoping to resolve deep inner conflicts. You're also open to engaging in a meaningful relationship where you can explore some of the more tender issues in life.

It is exciting, you are taking steps to find support. I am licensed in CA and NJ. I work with individuals, couples and families experiencing relationship stress or attachment trauma. The hallmark of trauma is the loss of basic trust. Our mind-body connection is powerful. In the short-term, it finds the quickest route to safety. Yet, overtime the protection it affords can become a pattern that adversely affects our well-being. I am passionate about helping individuals, couples and families to hear each others' feelings and attachment needs. Reaching authentic bonding with self and others is the goal of attachment based therapy.

When working with individuals I use the powerful, evidence-based approach of AEDP ( Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy).
My approach is holistic, incorporating mind, body and soul. As a therapist, I'm totally committed to your growth. I don't simply sit back and listen. Rather, I'm on the journey with you, as a companion, witness and guide, holding a safe container in which your healing can unfold. I see therapy as a lively creative process that accesses the wisdom of your body and the power of your imagination to put you back in the driving seat of your life.

AEDP Therapists

Who is AEDP therapy for?

Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) is for adults who have experienced emotional pain in the past that, because it has not been adequately addressed and processed, interferes with current functioning. The problems might manifest in a number of different ways, from excessive anger to relationship difficulties to PTSD to eating disorders, poor self-esteem, and depression. They may also be accompanied by physiological symptoms. AEDP helps people accept and digest challenging emotional experiences.

Why do people need AEDP?

People need AEDP as a way to manage distressing emotions—including anger, shame, and guilt—that in some way hamper the ability to function and form satisfying relationships in the present. The therapist-client relationship is believed to provide corrective emotional and relational experiences that facilitate positive changes in brain function, forge pathways for processing traumatic experiences, and allow resolution of emotional pain.

What happens in AEDP therapy?

Once individuals have established a strong bond with the AEDP therapist and the therapist has established a safe and secure environment, clients are encouraged to explore their most painful emotional experiences. They may be asked to pay attention to disquieting body sensations as well as to psychological discomfort. Individuals learn how to process emotions, rather than avoid them. Through the strength of the therapist-client bond, each session is intended to provide a powerful positive experience for individuals, enabling growth.

What problems does AEDP treat?

AEDP is intended to treat the unprocessed emotional pain caused by earlier distressing experiences, which commonly includes behavioral avoidance of current situations and experiences for fear that they will reactivate painful feelings. Emotional pain and avoidant behavior play a role in a wide array of mental health conditions, which is why AEDP is applied to the treatment of a range of disorders including depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship difficulties, and eating disorders.
