When working with individuals I use the powerful, evidence-based approach of AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy). With roots in interpersonal neurobiology, attachment theory, and affective neuroscience, this model directly harnesses the brain’s innate capacity for neuroplasticity; for deep and lasting change throughout the lifespan.
I also practice Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) which is another evidence-based modality. “Rigorous studies over the past fifteen years have found that 70-75 percent of couples who go through EFT recover from distress and are happy in their relationships. The results appear lasting, even for couples who are at high risk for divorce.” (Sue Johnson).
