If you are ready for action, I am the counselor for you. You have thought about your issue for a long time, maybe even tried to solve it yourself, perhaps more than once. It's frustrating repeating the same thing over and over and not knowing how to escape the cycle.

Horses have an innate sense of the suffering of their herd. They are hyper-attuned to the needs of others around them. When I work with my horses they are able to pick up on the underlying needs and desires of my clients. They know when you are feeling angry, isolated, or restless. The horses are able to attune to your emotions while I help you to put those feelings into words and do the necessary work to solve life's challenges. Together, we will embark on a journey of self-discovery.

Are you queer and struggling with body image and food? Or just feeling disconnected from your body? Are you looking for a therapist who gets it—who’s been there? I am an eating disorder therapist who is also queer. Believe it to not, the LGBTQ community is hit hardest when it comes to struggling with our relationship with our bodies. Many of us have had eating disorders, and even more of us struggle significantly with body image. As a trained somatic therapist, I hope to support you to have a better relationship with your body, and to understand the language it speaks—including how trauma may have manifested in your nervous system.

Our professional clinicians each have a different area of specialty in addition to their post graduate training in animal assisted psychotherapy. In addition to using this expertise the different animals can be integrated into the therapeutic process depending on the point in therapy, as well as the specific therapeutic goal being worked on at that specific time making the therapy experience work more quickly while engaging clients.

I currently work with clients in Washington State via telehealth, and have an in-person office in Colorado. I enjoy working with people of all ages and experiences, though I have particular insight into challenges more specific to women including body image, self-criticism, anxiety, perfectionisms, depression, shame, parenting, relationships, sex, and boundaries. Mental health is about holding balances in one's life, and at the core, restoring loving compassion for one's self. I support you to explore your life, belief systems, and goals; to get to the things that might be blocking you from being the support you need.
