It is my belief that in spite of all life’s pains and challenges that it is entirely possible to find contentedness and even joy in our experience. I aim to learn about my client’s past, their values, life desires, and the current struggles that get in the way of daily life. It is through this exchange that we build a therapeutic relationship and set the stage for our work together.
I consider myself an eclectic practitioner tailoring my approach to the individual needs of the client. My preferred modality is EMDR, which is highly effective in the treatment of all types of trauma that impact our current functioning. I also lean towards mindfulness based practices, particularly Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
I embrace a nonjudgmental approach. I am a straight-forward therapist who challenges clients to get the most out of their therapeutic experience. I support adult clients facing a wide range of life challenges with a special interest in complex trauma and maternal mental health.
