Relationship issues? Do you suffer from anxiety? Does low self-esteem get in the way for you of having the life you really want? Maybe you are seeking insight into why you can't let go of past events that have impacted you. I can help. I believe strongly in the idea that everyone has the ability to heal themselves and at times may need additional support or guidance along the way. At the core of my therapeutic style, is the belief that a foundation of mindfulness and cultivating a healthy relationship to self is where healing and wholeness begin.

I work with you where you are, whether your relationship is unraveling, you're facing major life changes, or you're stuck in unhealthy behavior patterns.
Daily life brings plenty of stresses, but most of us manage to function pretty well in spite of them. Sometimes, however, the stresses become more than we can handle, making us feel nervous, sad or angry. We might argue more with loved ones, have trouble sleeping or difficulty concentrating. Physical problems might show up like headaches or stomach complaints. If all this weren't enough, we might self-medicate by doing things like over-eating, excessive drinking or shopping. While these activities are actually attempts to self-comfort, a more productive way to gain relief when life gets out of control is to seek therapy.

I believe that healing and change begins with the therapeutic relationship. Through a safe, caring and nonjudgmental space we can process difficult emotions, gain awareness of what keeps us in suffering, and integrate newfound insights which bring relief. I am sensitive to the ways our past experiences and future anxieties impact our present. Together we will explore and discover what unfolds moment-to-moment to gain new understanding and begin healing.

Hello, I am here to help you understand yourself better and to relieve the pain that comes when relationships are struggling. I work best with high functioning individuals in executive roles and couples struggling with relationship issues, life events , depression and anxiety. When you are heard, seen, and encouraged, helped to explore and re-discover what you feel passionate and enlivened about, there is a good chance you will grow. You're probably here because perhaps you feel stuck, frustrated and discouraged - in your relationships, your job or with life in general and you want to make some fundamental changes and need some guidance and support. I can help you with this.

There are a lot of reasons to seek therapy, and improved relationships can help most all of them. Repetitive patterns from trauma or a diminished connection with a loved one can drain the resiliency and joy from your daily life. It can seem like you're stuck with unmet needs, feeling like you can't get it right, or that you are the only one who cares about the relationship. You ever wonder how people who love each other so much can argue so intensely? I strive to help you move from ineffective dependency to effective dependence.

Do you find yourself thinking about your relationship more often than not? Maybe you find yourself saying, "How did we get here? I can’t do this anymore. We need to change or else…" You wonder if your marriage can be saved...if you want to marry at all...if you should even stay in this relationship. Everyone else's relationship seems easier than yours. No one would understand if you told them what you're going through. Your relationship feels like a struggle to even be in, right now. Conflict, confusion and discomfort seem like the norm, not the exception.

Whatever brings you to therapy -- be that a painful breakup, a recent loss of a parent, a birth of a baby, a decision to marry or leave a partner, a difficulty connecting with your teen, worry and anxiety about your health, or difficulty in your intimate relationship - I am here to help you make sense of it, deliberately, with much self-love and compassion.
Carl Jung said: “It is what you are that heals, not what you know”. The journey of self-discovery is exactly that – getting to know and deeply appreciating your true and authentic self, even when that essence may be covered by trauma, hardship and suffering. It is this uncovering that many who experience psychotherapy to be transformative and healing refer to as a “re-birth”, a coming home to and an unfolding of who you truly are. Engaging in the process of self-inquiry can be a rewarding and even a life-changing experience, especially in the presence of an empathic and compassionate other.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
