Are you feeling stressed, is past trauma or grief getting in your way? My clients learn skills and make positive changes to flourish and achieve their goals. Are you overwhelmed? Tired of worrying that you’re not good enough? Shame and self-criticism can hinder us from living our best lives. I know how hard it is to find the right help, and how important it is to feel understood. In a warm, safe environment, my clients and I navigate their difficult relationships, feelings and circumstances and find healthy, doable solutions together.

California inherently breeds a fast-paced life style which naturally causes undue stress.
Hello! I am a psychologist who offers a non-judgmental space to support integrative growth and healing (mind/body connection). My approach to therapy is tailored to the individual or family who seeks treatment and is ready for positive emotional and behavioral change. The structure of our sessions is a back and forth conversation: a place for you to feel heard and also receive specific tools and communication techniques to use in any area or relationship in your life.

If you are looking for a therapist who specializes in helping you understand and reduce your awful anxiety symptoms (using science of the mind and body), restore love and peace in your relationships (using an attachment lens), and learn how to reframe your stress into a more positive catalyst for your growth.
Here is the thing... Life is REALLY hard. The truth is that our mental health was never intended to maintain itself. It is not a self-tuning machine. How can we expect our complex mental and emotional systems to stay in tip-top shape without attention or care? Not possible. As long as we are living and breathing humans on this earth, preservation of mental and emotional health will be as detrimental to our survival as our physical health. I believe therapy is for anyone who wants to heal or improve those mental and emotional systems. If you want to live, love, think, and feel better... this is where it starts.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist providing evidence-based practices. When I'm not in private practice, I'm working at UCSF Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences treating children, adolescents, and their families. Living in the Bay Area has many advantages and opportunities that motivate us to become the best, most successful version of ourselves. At times, occupational and social demands can bring overwhelming amounts of stress, pressure, and anxiety. I'm currently focusing my practice for families and couples as well as young professionals and athletes who have experienced trauma and/or high stress.

You want to appear successful & like you have it “all together” but deep down are stressed & struggling with self-esteem, anxiety or coping with what's happened in the past, including difficult life transitions and trauma. You may be fed up with making mistakes and feeling like a failure, leading to being isolated and disappointed. You might not even remember a time things didn’t feel this way.But one thing is for sure: you’re ready for some relief. You’re ready to manage stress effectively. You’re ready to overcome your overwhelming thoughts. Most of all, you’re ready to feel empowered and confident to take on life’s high and lows.

I specialize in working with people affected by long-term stress, abuse, trauma and grief.
My goal is to help you live your life fully; no longer feeling bound by the experiences in your past. Our experiences change our brains. Family, relationships and trauma all affect how we perceive ourselves, others and our world. But just as trauma and other negative experiences can create patterns that can lead to anxiety, depression, anger, unhealthy relationships, addictions or underachievement...new experiences can change those patterns. I provide a safe, non-judgmental place to work with your memories, feelings and thoughts in new ways.

I’m a liberation-focused somatic therapist who has been working with folks of color to address stress and trauma since 2006.
You're looking to be understood in your experience. You struggle with questioning if you are the issue or if it's the world around you. You live and work in high-stress and demanding environments where you're underrepresented. You've begun to realize your old ways of coping aren't working the same anymore. You may have even tried standard talk therapy in the past - and while helpful - you still find yourself troubled by disturbing experiences or memories.

Self-abandoning adults make sure everyone else is happy, even if they are stressed and exhausted.
My ideal client is "high-functioning." Ever heard of high-functioning anxiety, depression, and CPTSD? High-functioners tend to look like they have it all together from the outside, but there's an ongoing battle inside. Queer and neurospicy people, I'm talking to you too! Masking is the norm, and it is done by studying the world to act how they "should." Compartmentalizing and pushing feelings deep down to keep moving forward is how they've survived the tough stuff. Children who grew up worrying about upsetting their family or caring for their siblings often become self-abandoning adults.

Together we can build new strategies for coping with stress, sadness and the difficulties of life.
Are you tired of having unproductive conflict, feeling unheard, or beating yourself up and striving for perfection? I’m a licensed psychologist with several years of specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). We can use strategies from CBT and DBT to create a linear, targeted treatment plan to help you believe in yourself, ask for what you want and cope in ways that make you feel better about yourself. Or, if you are struggling with intense emotions and finding this is interfering with your relationship, we can use Gottman Couples therapy to help you and your partner reconnect.
