Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, or trauma? Is your child struggling with their behaviors, especially during transitions, like bedtime, or getting ready for school? I may be able to help. I specialize with working with both children and adults, ages 5+, to help ease suffering and improve overall functioning. I can work with parents to help solve problems with their children, provide support for the difficulty of parenting, and psychoeducation about the challenges their child is facing. I also have experience with clients who struggle with trauma, grief, self-harm and suicidality.

All of use are faced with experiences in life that that we could use some help with. Using warmth, gentleness, and humor, my goal as a therapist is to create a safe and healing relationship with you. I enjoy working with individuals ages 16 and older, from all walks of life. I dedicate my work to helping individuals navigate through major life transitions, anxiety, depression, relational problems, trauma, parenting challenges, grief/loss, eating disorder, body image concerns, identity development (especially with LGBTQ populations), personal growth and development.

I work with individuals, youth, families, couples and professionals utilizing principles of somatic psychology. I have a Doctoral degree in clinical psychology, specializing in somatic psychology. I am certified in deep trauma work and relational somatic psychotherapy. I have helped countless clients process their trauma. I am committed in providing safe, caring and loving environment to my clients.

Julie graduated from The Adler Graduate School of Minnesota and The University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Special Education Teacher, and Parent and Adult Educator. Her specialties include working with families with young children, adolescents, and adults who are struggling with daily functioning or are striving for a more balanced, holistic, and fulfilling lifestyle. Through the use of multiple approaches, including CBT, solution-focused, humanistic, Adlerian, nutrition, and fitness counseling, she facilitates relational living within a systems approach.

It is my goal to always maintain a non-judgemental, compassionate and safe place for clients to experience therapy. I look forward to the opportunity to help those who want to work toward a life and relationships that are worthwhile. My purpose as your therapist is to guide you towards realizing the goals you set forth for therapy. I will use my years of experience and continuous training to make sure we are using the most effective therapy specifically for your needs. We will work at a pace that is right for you.

I have experience helping children/teens and young adults to develop strategies to face their fears and increase self awareness. I use a strength based approach, evidenced based CBT-ERP, as well as approaches based in Eastern Psychology, such as yoga and mindfulness. I help my clients find brave moments expand their value based life. I work with individuals 8-25 years old and provide parent support. (All adult age groups for specific phobias)

Life is hard, and we don't have to go it alone. I have many tools to help you reach your goals. I tend to work with clients who have struggled throughout their lives and need to learn new skills to be effective. After establishing those skills, clients often go on to process difficult things that have happened in their lives with me. I love working with clients who are open and willing to give things a try, even if they are scary.

I specialize in trauma and dealing small trauma to extreme trauma and everything in between. I work with LGBTQ+ clients who are depressed, anxious, traumatized, dealing with bullying, dealing with people who don't understand. I work with transgender individuals who are in any stage of their life. I work with parents. I am a supervisor who works with therapists who are pre-license and need to have supervision. I work with LAMFT's and LPCC's. I can do individual supervision, dyads and groups. I also work with pre-marital couples who want to do the "Prepare/Enrich" program.
