Amber has a passion for supporting individuals and families who have experienced trauma. She is driven to support her clients in meeting their goals. She strives to create a safe, welcoming, and comfortable space where her clients can share openly and make progress.
Amber's specialty training is in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). EMDR helps lesson those disturbing or distressing feelings and replaces or creates more positive thoughts and feelings. She also uses therapeutic approaches from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Therapy (TF-CBT), art therapy, and play therapy.
Amber has experience working with anxiety, anger, communication, depression, domestic violence, sexual abuse, LGBT allied, military issues, self-esteem, and parenting.
