While I work with clients of all ages and needs, I spend a lot of time working with teenagers and young adults with depression, anxiety, and adjustment disorders. I enjoy providing a safe space for clients of this age range to develop coping skills, discuss identity and self-esteem and address life changes and transitions. I enjoy assisting clients through past and present struggles and bringing both of these together to reach client goals. I believe that it can be difficult to work on the past if there are present day struggles taking precedent and help clients address immediate stressors or symptoms first.

In my 15+ years of clinical practice I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families struggling with a variety of mental health challenges. I have given special focus to adolescents and young adults dealing with anxiety, depression, self-harm, self-esteem, and self-identity issues. I am always learning in order to increase my specialized focus on concerns related to anxiety, adoption and emerging adulthood. I enjoy working with the 10-25 year old age group but throughout my years of private practice I have worked with children as young as 5 and adults as young as 65. I hope to help clients find satisfaction in life.

I have worked in the field of Mental Health Counseling for over 20 years and have extensive experience working with adults, families, adolescents and children. I received much of my clinical training and experience working in inpatient hospital, residential treatment and outpatient treatment settings. During that time I held a variety of professional positions, received quality supervision and completed my Masters Degree in Community Counseling.

My ideal client is a teen, adult, or couple that is in need of communication work, reframing and refocusing thoughts, or in need of asssistance with anxiety. I enjoy working with individuals who are motivated on their journey to healthier mental practices and those seeking assistance.

My goal as a therapist is to be there for my clients while they make impactful and meaningful changes in their lives. I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ youth and adults, survivors of trauma, people with anxiety and depression, children and adolescents, and people with neurodivergence. I also provide services to a variety of clients of any age with needs including co-occurring substance use disorders and grief. My services are for anyone who is interested and open to processing, expressing, or changing something in their lives.

More specifically, their issues, needs, and goals could range from struggling with feelings of anxiety, depression, anger, loneliness, relational conflict, grief/loss, overcoming the effects of past trauma, codependency, personal identity and purpose exploration, and the list goes on. They may not know what they want or why, perhaps, a change is needed or there is more potential available than they are accessing.
