Accepting New Clients! You tell yourself what happened to you wasn't real, but under the busyness of life you know it was. You see it coming up in you romantic relationships-the same type of person, the same conflict, the same experience that leaves you with a feeling like there's something wrong with you. Or, maybe you see it in your family relationships-wanting them to meet your needs and always being disappointed. Or, maybe you see it coming up in those moments of lost time-your mind spinning around past hurts. No matter how the trauma may surface, you can no longer live like this.

Healing happens when you feel safe enough to be honest, curious, and compassionate with yourself. I work with individuals who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and major life transitions—and who may feel stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand yet.

We all seek a life that is fulfilling and meaningful, but sometimes during our life's journey, we can come to feel disconnected from that source of meaning. Maybe a life event occurs (trauma/illness/death/divorce/etc.) that causes us to reevaluate everything we thought to be true. Perhaps our relationships and our roles in life begin to shift making us question "What now?" My honor as a therapist is to walk with you as you rekindle that connection and create a life that intentionally honors what matters most to you.

The clients I serve are individuals, children, and families navigating autism, ADHD, LGBTQIA+ community needs, trauma, emotional regulation challenges, or major life transitions. They may feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or stuck and are looking for support, clarity, and practical tools to move forward. Many are seeking healing, stability, and a space where they can be fully seen and accepted while building skills that support lasting change. I want to support everyone in their goals toward lasting change.

Growing up in Hartland and the surrounding area gave me a perspecitive of stuggles often felt by the families of Lake Country and Waukesha Country. I have been an adolescent and an adult in this community and have experienced the complexities that come with that. Work, school, life, figuring out how to balance it all can be draining and lonely. I am here to provide our community with the accessible and evidenced based care you are deserving of.

Stress and anxiety feels like your default setting. Overwhelmed and burnout is the motto to your life. You feel like your needs are being put on the backburner of everyone else’s. You want to be able to say how you’re feeling but the idea is so uncomfortable that you keep quiet and avoid the drama. How doe it feel to hear, your thoughts and feelings matter and you are deserving to set your boundaries?

I support clients with burnout, anxiety, depression, disordered eating, relationship challenges, parenting issues, postpartum depression and anxiety, and body image concerns. I am passionate about helping clients zoom out to recognize the broader context in which symptoms came about - family, culture, etc. In other words, you are not failing! Sometimes, you're just not set up to succeed. I would like to help with that.

Just pause for a moment and ask yourself which of these words resonate with you? Healing. Rest. Balance. Empowerment. Connection. Purpose. What are you wanting out of life right now? Many people come to therapy because they wan't "something different" but achieving that "different" seems elusive. I can help you "do different". Whether it's for mental, physical, emotional, or spiritual issues, I can help you create a path to feel empowered and achieve the peace of mind and balance in your life.

I understand that taking the first step in seeking help can be intimidating, and I want you to feel as comfortable as possible by providing a safe, calm, non-judgmental, and confidential atmosphere for us to talk, reflect, laugh, and process. I want to work with you to find solutions that will benefit you in the struggles you're facing, and find tools that will help you for the long term. Parenting, career decisions, and relationship struggles are certainly challenging, but I have helped many people work through these situations and come out feeling more empowered and confident in handling them.

You may recognize that your spirituality is an important aspect in your life, and are seeking to include this into your healing journey of therapy. Or you may be healing from religious trauma - questioning old beliefs, reclaiming your autonomy, and seeking a more authentic path. You may be carrying shame, fear, or grief from past experiences, yet long for healing, meaning, and a sense of belonging. In our work together, we'll create a safe space to explore the healing journey through a holistic lens, gently unpack any harm, reconnect with your body and inner wisdom, and regain trust within yourself.

Learn more about how to find a therapist

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
