You may be juggling life having fear or anxiety as you do your best. You may have experienced betrayal in significant relationships, such as infidelity, emotional abuse or neglect, leading to profound feelings of mistrust, insecurity, and fear of intimacy. You may struggle with attachment issues, finding it challenging to form healthy connections or maintain boundaries in relationships. You may just feel isolated or scared as you are moving forward after a major challenge or transition in life. I support adults to challenge negative beliefs, disruptive behaviors, explore behaviors that do not serve you and you want to change.

Self compassion is vital for change. My goal is to help you master this difficult skill to help support you in loving and being your best self. With over thirteen years in the mental health field and almost a lifetime of focusing on personal growth, I have learned the hard way that no change comes without having a positive relationship with yourself. If you are willing to commit, I can help you develop that relationship with yourself and alter any unhealthy thought, behavioral, or relationship patterns that are keeping you stuck. Together we can tap into your intuition, use your strengths and cultivate skills needed for growth.

For me, the relationship between client and therapist is one of the most important aspects for success.
I love working with women and gender expansive people on concerns such as anxiety, depression, adjustment, life transitions, and trauma. I love guiding people through life transitions, shifts, and identity development. Helping my clients in their personal growth is especially fun for me. Aside from personal growth, I am most experienced working with symptoms of anxiety, depression, and trauma. I help clients understand how systems beyond their individual life impacts why they may be feeling how they are feeling. I help clients work to live authentic and genuine lives that align with their personal values.

While I specialize in parenting techniques for young children, I also enjoy working with children, teens, and adults who feel "stuck," or are having difficulty managing family and social conflicts. I believe the therapeutic relationship is a powerful agent of change, and aim to provide a warm, safe, and casual space for clients to express themselves. I work particularly well with teenage and young adult females. I also encourage creative outlets for processing emotional issues, which might include drawing, painting or any other evidenced-based expressive techniques that relieve distress.

Everyone feels stressed sometimes, but what happens when it becomes too intense and takes center stage in your life? Maybe chronic and persistent worry about a stressful situation or relationship is taking control of your thoughts, or you are struggling to heal from a past trauma. Maybe you find yourself feeling physical symptoms from anxiety, like a fast heart rate, feeling nervous, difficulty sleeping, and feeling fatigued. Do you find yourself having difficulty feeling calm and at peace?

I have seven years of experience helping clients with anxiety, depression, boundary and relationship issues, and gender dysphoria.
My clients are often motivated to begin therapy as an investment in self. Whether you are curious about how your unprocessed past may be affecting your present, living with anxiety or depression, or are looking for skills to develop healthier relationships, we will work together to determine your therapeutic path. We will identify narratives that have shaped your reactions and worldview, deconstruct what no longer fits your values, and equip you with tools to thrive beyond survival.

My treatment long specialized in work with young males, adult men and families in crisis, but has now broadened to working with all genders and stages of development. Using an eclectic approach, I give the client the support to tell their own story, help them in self-discovery and collaborate to change behaviors and thoughts within their realm of control. I believe all people need to be recognized and valued as creative, sovereign, powerful and emotional human beings. Please note: I co-own and operate a group practice, Mandala House, when you call the number in my profile, your call will be directed there. Thank you.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
