Welcome to New Story Therapy! My hope is to provide you with a safe, supportive space to navigate your relationship with yourself and with others. I currently work primarily with adults who are seeking healing from trauma, anxiety, and depression that may stem from family of origin issues, physical, sexual, & emotional abuse, relationship conflict, and other difficult life experiences. Many of my clients are entrepreneurs, creatives, students, Asian Americans & people of color, and people within the helping profession. You have taken the first step of courage in being here, and it is my honor to connect with you.

Choosing a therapist can be a difficult decision. I recognize that sharing your life story with someone you are just meeting can feel very uncomfortable. In our sessions, I will try to bring a sense of calm confidence between you and me based on trust. Our collective struggle is that we have inherited a world of imbalance and as such, imbalance lives within each of us. It is my belief that healing is done in community, and that true change can only occur in the space between individuals. Together, we will work to find equilibrium and healing amongst the madness. It is my goal to help clients develop and hone the best version of themselves according to their own vision. Through the integration of movement and the expressive arts, I seek to assist clients in rewriting their narratives in a way that embodies dignity and strength.

I truly believe that each client is the absolute expert on themselves and strive always to create space for clients to feel, be, and show up as their authentic selves. My approach is relational, casual, sex positive, and gender affirming. I take a systems approach to appreciating all the different factors that make up you and your unique experiences in the world. I specialize in complex trauma, and love to work with folks within the LGBTQIA2S+ community, folks struggling to navigate overwhelming emotions, folks struggling with boundary setting, and folks looking to explore and truly find love and compassion for themselves.

Let’s be real; life as a teenager or young adult is complex and hard enough as it is. Add to that the confusion about who you are as a mixed race individual; the frustration of being directly or indirectly labeled “the black girl” in a predominantly white school; or the pressure that comes with being a student athlete trying to balance life on and off the court. Nashville Collaborative Counseling Center is a group practice of mental healthcare therapists and helping professionals committed to creating spaces of accessibility, healing, and justice for our clients and the communities in which we serve. We also have a speciality practice within NCCC called Mamaya Health (UHC Community Plan (TN Medicaid) geared towards women who are pregnant and/or postpartum. Taylor is a psychotherapist practicing in the state of Tennessee. She enjoys and is specialized in treating young adults and adolescents with psychosis, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and families of individuals with serious mental illness. She is interested in helping individuals and families cope, provide education, problem solve, reduce distress related to symptoms, and identify ways that they can continue to successfully achieve their goals.
