Tallahassee Counseling & Consulting is a group of Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Clinical Social Work Interns who are here to walk with you during these different phases. I could tell you all about my 20+ years of trainings/certifications, therapeutic methods, and the usual psychobabble jargon professionals use. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and provide counseling services to individuals, couples, and families. I use an integrated approach with emphasis in Emotional Focused Therapy which is a proven and empirical based practice effective with all types of therapy especially relationship therapy. Relationship issues can and do effect our mental state such as depression and anxiety. I help clients to gain insight to improve themselves and their relationships. This helps clients not only to address their current issues but gain tools and information for further development to building a healthier self and healthier relationship.

I have extensive experience with mood disorders, trauma and addictions and work with all ages. I am trained in EMDR and use that technique with both children and adults if appropriate. My clients often state when they first spoke to me they felt immediately at ease and did not feel judged. I am able to assist my clients in seeing patterns in their life story and work to identify and change core beliefs such as "I'm not good enough", "I'm defective" or "I cannot trust others."

My goal is to help clients identify and utilize the skills they already possess. Therapy approaches I often use to achieve this goal are EMDR, CBT, motivational interviewing, etc. I enjoy working with clients who are seeking to process through trauma. We have all experienced it at least once in our lives, and I love working with clients seeking to process and overcome these experiences.
