Sometimes life changes because of the choices we make and sometimes life changes anyway. The necessary adjustments often challenge our coping skills and what used to work no longer does. I specialize in and particularly enjoy working with adults who are experiencing and adapting to life changes including romantic relationships, work, and parenthood. Therapy presents an opportunity to gain insight, learn, and practice new skills in a supportive and non-judgmental atmosphere. While therapy can sometimes be difficult, I am also an advocate of the mental health benefits of humor.
My therapeutic approach is client-centered, strengths-based, and solution-focused. We will collaboratively identify treatment goals as well as the steps to reach them.
I also integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy with Family Systems Theory & Motivational Interviewing. I believe that insight must be accompanied by the skills to make & maintain change. Please reach out with inquiries via e-mail.
