I offer a supportive and safe environment for adults and seniors who are experiencing challenges in daily living. Together we will address and work through those challenges and, as a result, I will help you to grow more satisfied in your quality of life.

I hope for my clients to walk away from therapy feeling like they can handle whatever bumps they may encounter in life. This can happen by becoming aware of habits and patterns that are problematic; fully exploring and understanding them spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, and then coming up with alternative ways of navigating. I offer short and long term treatment options as well as a sliding scale fee when appropriate. I enjoy teaching meditation so that people can move through the world from a place of mindfulness.

I am a psychotherapist/researcher/ neuroscientist who studies how emotions influence our physical and emotional wellbeing. My book" Why Good Sex Matters" (Houghton, Mifflin, Harcourt, 1/2020) explores how imbalances in the wiring of the core emotional systems can disrupt our capacity for pleasure and joy--(contributing to anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and general stress)--and outlines tool to rebalance the body/mind. My clients are seeking insights, tools, and skills to empower their capacity to have deeply joyful and satisfying lives. I work with them to co-create a multifaceted approach to fit their unique needs.

I earned my doctorate from St. John's University and BA from NYU. I interned at Bellevue Hospital/NYU Child Study Center and ran a program at NY-Presbyterian Hospital. Jenna Sackman is a holistic and integrative therapist who specializes in working with high functioning individuals (children, teens & adults) and couples and is passionate about making therapy a meaningful, joyful experience. Her areas of expertise are anxiety, relationship challenges, depression, loss/grief, transitional periods, and intrusive/negative thoughts. Most clients choose to work with her because she uses an active approach and provides her clients with concrete skills. Jenna understands that therapy is a huge investment, and she, too, is fully invested in helping her clients to realize significant and observable change.
