My fees are: $200 for individual therapy and $250 for relationship work.
I specialize in sexual health, intimacy, and relationships, especially the one we have with self. I am passionate about helping you (and yours) enrich your lives—by empowering you to unpack what’s preventing you from fully embracing all of life’s pleasures. I believe that we all have the intrinsic ability to heal ourselves. In my practice, psychotherapy is a journey of self healing, with me as your guide. Connection is one of our most powerful tools, and through connecting with me, together, we will cultivate transformation and uncover the peace that lies within you.

We are looking for clients that are motivated to make lasting changes in their lives. Most clients are looking for a nonjudgmental listener that can competently address their presenting issues and provide skills, tools and a trusting therapeutic relationship. As human beings we all have the need to be accepted, heard and understood. Our practice is supportive in nature and our approach is based in attachment and relational psychotherapy. Essentially, we work with people we like and who want to change their lives and the way they function. We manage an interactive client portal to allow supportive communication in between sessions.

Are you feeling overwhelmed? Having difficulty managing stress and emotions? Do you worry excessively? Have you spent hours talking about your problems with little relief? Maybe you’re experiencing intrusive thoughts or memories, ruminating, or overreacting. Persistent negative beliefs about yourself might be keeping you stuck. Difficulty setting boundaries and people-pleasing is a common complaint. Perhaps you've experienced physical or emotional abuse in a past or present relationship. These things make it hard to enjoy life and relationships. Psychological symptoms are often the result of unprocessed memories and experiences.

When you look at your present life, what is it you see? When you search your feelings about who you are now, are there changes you want to make? The stress and responsibilities of life can result in feeling depressed, anxious, alone, thinking there is no one who can help you through. I would like to offer you a therapeutic opportunity to create a life you want to live.

Making a connection and being understood are essential to a positive and productive therapeutic alliance. My clients say they feel relief and gain insight which helps them enjoy a better quality of life and better relationships. I have 2 locations- the Wellness Seed Collective in Amherst and Stepping Stones Farm in Temple. We can meet in the office to explore struggles, develop strategies and resolve issues. We can also go outside to partner with horses for the powerful experiential method of Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy.

I believe that individuals deserve to live their life with less difficulty no matter how their biosocial makeup has been developed. Life continues despite how intensely challenging it can be. We are not in control of most situations, except of our own thoughts and actions. We do have a choice to continue to move forward in any circumstance that we are in, even if we feel like we can not. This can feel overwhelming and difficult, or even lonely, to take that first step. With a safe therapeutic space and down to earth soothing tone, we can work through these vulnerable steps together.

I love my work. You may want a quiet, protected space where you can think out loud - with the freedom to follow your thoughts to their own (surprising?) conclusions. Or you may want a more active interaction, a back-and-forth exchange to wrestle with difficult emotions and come out the other side feeling more settled and self-directed in your life. My first job is to meet you wherever you are - wanting help with an immediate crisis, or wishing to explore a past experience that continues to haunt you.

It can feel overwhelming to work on who we are while we are also trying to work on the day to day challenges that arise in all of our lives. Often we're told we just need to change our mindset when we know it's bigger than that. You may find you're stuck making the same choices and falling into the same patterns and relationships all the while feeling disconnected from the people and the world around you.

At times life presents challenges that can feel overwhelming, confusing and leave us questioning how to overcome them. However, we believe that teaching clients skills to develop greater self-awareness and self-acceptance can provide them the opportunities to manage and survive crisis situations, regulate their emotions, improve their communication in relationships and ultimately take control of their recovery.

Adolescents rock! Adolescence sucks... As the adult emerges, the need to separate and individuate is primal and the ensuing metamorphosis affects all important relationships. Adapting to the rights and responsibilities of the emerging adult can be confusing and frustrating and make for multitudes of conflicts. As a therapist, I am pragmatic and practical, look for ways to support the process of growing up, teach necessary skills to increase interpersonal effectiveness and mindful self-care. My goal is to help individuals understand their needs and as to achieve a sense of fulfillment and independence necessary to satisfying living.

If you are going through something and need some support, it would be my honor to try to help you out. What you might face now may have something to do with the past, and may also impact the future for the worse if something isn't done now, in the present. I would enjoy working with you to consider the past and future while also focusing on the present as much as possible in order to glean what is most within your control, what are your resources and options, your abilities and limitations, how do we honor and validate these while also encouraging some change, and how do we tolerate what is outside of our control, etc.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
