Meet Sarah, a dedicated Certified Physician Assistant (PA) who has found her passion in the field of Psychiatry and Mental Health. Graduating from MCPHS University in 2019, Sarah's journey is marked by her unwavering commitment to fostering a therapeutic alliance with her patients and closely monitoring their mental health progress. With her unique combination of compassion, positivity, and experience, Sarah strives to provide the best possible care to all those she serves.

My clients are usually feeling overwhelmed by sudden challenges and transitions which can alter perspective and cause stress, depression, anxiety and trauma. I provide the guidance and positive outlook needed to respond to stressful situations as opportunities to learn and grow. I also have a wide range of experience in crisis stabilization. Crisis strongly impacts day-to-day routines, yet with counseling, clients can move forward with life. Learning how to move forward, although often difficult, can prevent further emotional distress.

Michelle is passionate about delivering care to individuals suffering from anxiety, substance use, and depression. Client motivation and dedication are key to utilizing the tools provided during our sessions including medication management, implementing lifestyle interventions, and therapy to help develop and implement a successful treatment plan. Relief of the client's suffering in dealing with their mental health issues and striving for an improvement in their quality of life is key to treatment.

I can help address needs of clients struggling with anxiety, depression, stress disorder, OCD, mood swings or psychotic symptoms. I have been seeing clients via Telehealth and all my clients like the comfort and flexibility of Telehealth for medication management. I am only running a Tele health based platform at this time and there are no in person visits. I have medical licence for states of Massachusetts and North Carolina.

During my residency I served as Chief Resident and was awarded the Overall Excellence in Psychiatry Award as well as the Clinical Excellence Award.

As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, my ideal client would be someone who is open, motivated, and committed to their healing and personal growth journey. They may be struggling with various mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma. However, they recognize the need for professional support and are willing to actively engage in the therapeutic process.

My ideal client would understand that the journey to wellness and recovery requires time, effort, and patience. They would be receptive to treatment suggestions which may include psychotherapy, behavioral interventions, and medication options. My patients would take an active role in their care, and engage in open and honest communication with their provider.

I am Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry and have been practicing since 2005. I completed my residency from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts and my Fellowship in Addictions from the Robert Johnson Wood Foundation. In 2014, I was featured in SJ Magazine as one of New Jersey’s top psychiatrists. I have experience working with adults as well as adolescents suffering from both psychiatric diagnosis and substance use disorders and have extensive experience working in both out-patient and in-patient settings.

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with multiple years of experience working in Psychiatric and Critical Care Nursing. I have experience treating various Psychiatric disorders and enjoy working with people in all life stages.

With a strong commitment to mental health, I have acquired extensive experience as a dedicated and compassionate mental health professional. I played a vital role in educating patients on essential aspects of mental health, and I've also done a lot of work in helping individuals dealing with diabetic and weight management issues deal and work through these concerns.

Marcela has a Bachelors in Science from University of Miami, and earned her MSN Family Nurse Practitioner from Purdue University. She has been in Emergency Medicine for 10 years, and also works as a Neurology Nurse Practitioner. Marcela's goal at BNBA is to make her patients feel like they can always reach out, and to make them feel their very best. Marcela loves to travel and Florida Gator Football- Go Gators!
