I take a relational approach and know that progress can be made when you have a trusted person that can support you through the changes you are wanting to make or the situation you are facing.
If I go to counseling, doesn't it mean that I'm crazy? You are not alone in asking this question. It doesn't. It just means that you have feelings, experiences, or struggles right now. We all experience times in our lives that are difficult. To want something different than what you are experiencing, that seems pretty normal to me :)
It can be a really difficult decision to make to start counseling and it's also normal to feel nervous at first. My role is to listen and lend a hand, not judge your choices.
