Is this you? Is your mind clouded all the time, have you got 200 things running through your head, do you struggle to concentrate, find it hard to make decisions?   Do you doubt yourself lots, low-confidence, negative thoughts, think more of others than yourself?   Are you living in the past, grieving loved ones, not dealing with your problems, involved in toxic relationships?   Is it time to stop and think about your mental health and wellbeing?

Making sense of life can be challenging at times. We might find ourselves contemplating if we are causing ourselves unnecessary unhappiness, or if this is just the way things are? Or, wondering if I should just keep sticking at 'it', or is it time for things to change? We might question if our feelings are important? (They might overwhelm us!) Or should I just listen to my thoughts instead? Should we try to forget about the past, or is it helpful to understand it? Might we be living our lives in 'survival mode' when we could be 'thriving' instead?

My goal is to make sure you feel seen and heard. Whatever you are struggling with, whether it is a troubling memory that doesn't seem to leave you alone, a day to day struggle that you feel is holding you back, an experience you're dealing with and didn't think you'd face, or if you're feeling at the end of yourself - talking about these things is a huge step toward resolving your issues and moving to a place of thriving in the life you want to live.

In Life certainly in the present days. We are bombarded with directions and advice as to how we should live our lives and this can be very confusing. Issues that we all have instead of being opened up and discussed are simply painted over emotionally to fit in with the expectations of modern living. It can feel a very lonely isolated place for many individuals with no one that they can truly open up to with the pain they may be feeling inside.t

My clients come to me from all walks of life and have experienced trauma recently or in the past. This has resulted in my clients suffering from intense anxiety and fears and/or severe depression as well as relationship difficulties. My clients can feel stuck, vulnerable and helpless, which has such a disabling impact on their lives. I have the ability to initiate and maintain a confidential therapeutic relationship, where my clients feel safe, experience hope and a reduction of their psychological symptoms. I know how important it is to look after our emotional well being irrespective of age. Stresses, strains and anxieties can hit at anytime. It maybe a current situation or something from our past which impacts on our ability to manage our current situation. Even anticipation of future events can impact on us at an emotional level. There are many reasons why counselling can be beneficial including low self-esteem, low self-confidence, bullying, family issues, bereavement, infant loss, relationship issues, and anger to name but a few, It takes strength and courage to acknowledge you may need help.

Exclusively Couples.
Currently I have some limited availability - Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm. I am a qualified counsellor with 25 years experience. I work exclusively with couples, and exclusively online. I can help with the dissatisfaction that often seems to follow the initial besotted phase, repetitive conflict, affairs, loss of emotional connection, and sexual issues. Currently you may be thinking the person you found may not be the 'right' one after all, and that there's a mythical perfect partner out there. Your task may well be not to find a new right person to love, but to reconnect with and love the right person you already found.

If you’re reading this you must have determined you would like help to heal and resolve difficulties in your life. I have a wealth of experience working with adults and children who have endured severe trauma, mental ill health (anxiety, depression etc) and have guided them through the healing process. Trauma affects both brain and body, causing somatic pain and toxic stress. Abusive relationships leave there damage behind long after they have ended . I’m not a fixer and I don’t have a magic wand, however, I can help you untangle the confusion and find some much needed hope to help you reach your goal.

We all know life can get tough at times and we can struggle to see our way through it. Sometimes it helps to talk those experiences or feelings through with someone who can really listen and brings no agenda with them. There are so many reasons to come to therapy difficult times in life, things feeling not quite right, anxiety or depression or things from our past effecting us in the here and now (attachment or trauma). Therapy is a safe, neutral place you can use to explore what is happening for you, and it can support you in deciding how you want to manage it.

How can I find a therapist in CH2?

Search for nearby therapists or counselors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or postcode; or a provider’s name into the search bar. From there, you can filter providers by the issues they treat, cost, insurance, gender, and other factors to find providers who are well-suited to your needs. To navigate between locations within the same country, enter a new city or postcode into the search bar.

Learn more about how to find a therapist.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online or over the phone can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your postcode.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In many countries, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counsellor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counsellors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

What type of therapist is right for me?

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist, psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counsellor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counsellors. Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.
