Relationships and connections with others are an essential part of life. When those relationships cause us the most distress, where we do not feel emotionally safe nor loved without condition, we begin to question ourselves. We develop an amazing ability to categorize each problem and make ourselves believe that whatever is happening is not affecting us. When this coping strategy is applied, the body’s distress signals get disconnected from the mind.

I help build on existing strengths to increase emotional capacity. I use mindfulness and behavioural techniques, look for ways to reconnect you with your body, and teach distress tolerance and emotional regulation skills. Together, we can identify "stuck points" from your early days and transform them into adaptable skills, using parts work.

I work with individuals who struggle to connect with themselves and others, experience strong emotions that at times feel out of control, including anxiety, anger and impulsivity, and those who have experienced emotional abuse, including narcissistic abuse. I also help ADHDers, autistics, and AuDHDers, expand their self-acceptance and -compassion.
