No amount of arguing with ourselves seems to help. With the right therapies we can be free from the past's hold on our future.
As an integrative counsellor I work holistically with clients, utilising whatever theraputic interventions are appropriate. Two clients with the same presenting issues may have very different underlying cause, e.g. anxiety and depression may be work related or from past trauma amongst other causes and need different therapy.
My expertise includes working with dyslexic, ADHD and other neurological diverse clients. As a late diagnosed dyslexic myself, I understand that standardised ways of working can often be inappropriate for clients. We are all different, think differently, feel differently, learn differently and should be counselled as individuals. One size does not fit all.
