10th Street CTC also offers aftercare planning to detail the next steps in the recovery process and to ensure lasting wellness.
Located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 10th Street Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with opioid use disorder. MAT is a form of outpatient treatment that can help those who have an addiction to heroin, prescription painkillers, or other opioids. Outpatient treatment programs like MAT are flexible and convenient, so adults can get the treatment they need while still working, going to school, or fulfilling other obligations. The medication used in MAT can alleviate the severity of withdrawal symptoms, including cravings, which decreases a person’s chances of using illicit drugs again, getting into legal trouble, or contracting infectious diseases. Along with the use of medication, MAT includes individual and group counseling sessions. This therapeutic component allows adults to address any underlying mental health disorder symptoms or behavioral concerns that may be contributing to their use of opioids. At 10th Street CTC, our goal is to provide treatment that combines medication and counseling to help adults achieve long-term recovery.

INPATIENT or OUTPATIENT?

Residential inpatient treatment in Milwaukee consists of 24-hour care at a live-in facility. Full treatment services, including medical and behavioral therapy, are provided all at one location.

Outpatient treatment programs in Milwaukee provide flexibility to those who are unable to take time away from their regular lives, work or school. Programs typically meet at the clinic a couple of times every week for a few hours at a time.

Certain programs provide a combination of the in/out approach: Inpatient for medical stabilization, partial hospitalization for moderate cases, intensive outpatient programs, and outpatient clinics for follow-up.
