What to Expect
Prior to admission, you will participate in an initial assessment that will help our staff create a personalized treatment plan that caters to your unique needs. We will review your medical history and history of substance use to determine which services may provide you with optimal support on your individual journey to recovery. Our experts will also use information from your assessment to select the medication you are prescribed. At our CTC, we offer methadone, naltrexone, buprenorphine, and Suboxone. Our treatment center is different from traditional methadone clinics because we offer a variety of medications and not just methadone. Your medication type and dosage will be continually monitored during your time at West Milwaukee CTC. While medication can help alleviate the physical symptoms of withdrawal, it cannot address the psychological element of addiction. To explore underlying causes of opioid addictions, patients can participate in individual and group therapy sessions.
