Initially, I will schedule a 15-minute consultation with potential clients. I am interested in hearing about a client’s previous experience or inexperience working with a therapist. I will explain my process of therapy to potential clients, which is holistic with multifaceted, evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

Hello! I'm Patty Martinez. I'm from Utah. I love the outdoors and enjoy the peace nature can bring. I also authentically enjoy working with people that are ready to make changes in their life. I enjoy helping families learn the skills of cooperation, compassion, and understanding to help the family unit work, communicate and grow with each other. I also work with couples with varying dynamics that are in a relationship. We work on restoring open and honest communication, breaking destructive patterns, and managing a relationship's different phases. I work to give the couples skills that they can take from the session into their daily lives; such as a deeper passion for each other and a greater sense of a more fulfilling relationship.

My career began in the field of Substance Abuse. From there I have been working with children, adolescents, teens, and adults with various mental diagnoses over the past 13 years. I am involved in various Human Rights campaigns and a firm believer in equality. My philosophy is simple, provide no-nonsense, affordable care for the people.

I am committed to assisting individuals in living authentically without regrets. My approach is rooted mindfulness based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and strength based perspective. I am trained in hypnosis through American Society of Clinical Hypnosis and have found this to be a very helpful tool. I use a holistic approach in working with my clients with the goal of teaching them to use their mind body and spirit for healing and growth. I have extensive knowledge in addiction, codependency, trauma, depression and anxiety. I am comfortable working with adults, families, couples and LGBTQ community.

My practice is named En Route because in my experience all of us are on some form of journey. Sometimes our journeys are smooth, other times they're complicated and maybe frightening. Very few people create and sustain change all alone. Community is essential and it can be fun. There are so many directions to head and goals to accomplish on our journeys; it is my honor and privilege to join people and groups on their paths. Turns out a lot of us learn best by doing. Horses help us make real time change and offer instant feedback. It doesn't hurt that horses have much in common with people and act as great relationship role models.
