This would be false, because I can't recall a situation where I could help the child without helping the parents, and even the whole family. After completing my Bachelor's of Psychology at the University if Monterrey, Mexico, I began specialized training at the Child Analytic Study Program at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where I also completed a Master's in Education and Psychology. I moved to Houston and while raising my four children I founded Mexican Women's Initiative, a non-profit organization focusing on organizing Latin women to provide services for the Latin community. I then joined two other Latin psychotherapists to create the "Centro para el Desarrollo para la Mujer", an educational forum for Latin women.
