For over fifteen years I have worked as a psychotherapist, specializing in child, adolescent, individual, and family therapy. I am passionate about helping others overcome conflicts and learn effective coping skills. Life can be hard sometimes! I have a PhD in Counseling and a Masters in Psychology, with training in Play Therapy and Solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT). I recognize the significance of therapy as a vital instrument, not just for preventing and treating mental disorders but also for enhancing the overall quality of people's lives. With more than 15 years of experience as a licensed counselor in Brazil and two years as an LPC - Associate in Texas, I possess fluency in both Portuguese and English, enabling me to communicate adeptly with diverse populations. I strongly uphold the transformative potential of the therapeutic relationship, and my objective is to offer counseling that facilitates positive life changes for individuals.

My sessions are provided in English and Portuguese via telehealth. Most of my clients are individuals who suffer from depression, anxiety, panic, obsessions and compulsions, co-dependency, and/or relationship issues. My counseling journey began in Brazil in 2005 and expanded to the US in 2021. As a therapist with over 10 years of counseling experience, I aim to help clients feel immersed in a secure atmosphere. I offer counseling services to adolescents, adults, and families in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. In addition to providing services for Anxiety, Grief, and Chronic Pain, I am an Early Childhood Development specialist and have a background in counseling high schoolers and families. I am certified in hypnosis by IFEN (Brazil), and my approach is rooted in Solution-Focused techniques and person-centered therapy.

I provide telehealth (video) counseling in English and Portuguese to adults suffering with: depression, anxiety, panic, social phobia, obsessions and compulsions, and struggles with relationships, perfectionism and career. Please understand that the success of the therapy is highly correlated to your ability to engage in the process. While having a rapport will provide a safe environment for you to express your challenges, in most cases, this is not enough. It requires your active participation in understanding how the mind works, where emotions come from and your behavioral choices.
