I have extensive training in play therapy and am an APT Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Animal-Assisted Therapy, and sand tray work.

I am passionate about helping clients and have been doing so for over 30 years. I welcome the opportunity to be of assistance in addressing a variety of mental health issues such as ADHD, OCD, Autism Spectrum, anxiety, depression, dementia and other issues. I treat trauma and other women's issues. I offer counseling, ABA, as well as psychological and neuropsychological testing for all ages. Whatever reason brought you here, I hope you stay. I started One Eighty Counseling because I yearned to create a counseling practice that focused on open, kind communication and acceptance. I wanted my own corner of the world where people could truly come as they are. This means that my clients, their families, and their stories could be acknowledged without judgement or fear, and most importantly without rejection. In my practice, I work best with individuals who are looking for a long-term therapeutic relationship to work on struggles over time. I work through a person-centered lens where I believe you are the expert on you.

The way in which we cope with the world is greatly influenced by the way in which we see the world. Therapy can be a safe, non-judgmental space to explore opportunities for change, recognize our strengths, and navigate challenges in our lives. My role as a counselor is to advocate and provide support for clients who are seeking growth, change, and well-being in their lives. I enjoy working with children, adults, and families as they process and heal from trauma while learning more effective coping skills, healthier communication skills and boundaries, and working towards a happier and healthier version of themselves.

I focus primarily on helping children and teens who struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral issues, relationship challenges, trauma, and low self esteem. I hope to help your children and teens normalize the emotions they feel while also helping them learn coping strategies and alternative methods to overcoming difficulties. I strive to form individual connections so they recognize they are supported, heard, and feel safe. One of my priorities is ensuring that you, as parents, are involved and supported through the therapeutic process of your children.

I offer counseling in a natural, outdoor environment, which provides a peaceful and comfortable setting for sessions. Partnering with animals in therapy provides a powerful and relational alternative to traditional counseling. I am committed to walking alongside you through the process of healing. I believe in the healing power of safe and healthy relationships, which includes relationships with our animals at the barn.

My passion is in working with children and their parents and caregivers. Honoring each and every child and the unique challenge and need they bring into the therapeutic playroom is my honor and a responsibility I hold sacred. Any child struggling to express their feelings and emotions and make sense of a challenging experience or period during their childhood and adolescence is welcomed. A parent or caregiver who hopes their child will learn and understand important skills such as emotional regulation, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication is supported and empowered.

I believe everyone encounters struggles and challenges in their lives and that everyone has personal strengths and the abilities to overcome life's obstacles. I see my role as a therapist to be one that provides support, education, play, collaboration, listening, and assists with intervention toward attaining personal growth. I have extensive experience counseling those struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, school problems, abuse, trauma, family conflict, divorce, self-esteem, substance use and emotional or behavioral disorders. I possess a holistic perspective to therapy that focuses on building healthy relationships and boundaries, both with self and others.
