Intimacy/Sexual issues can be difficult to discuss and people are reluctant. In fact, many people struggle with feelings of inadequacy/lack of fulfillment in relation to their sexual experience. Sexual dysfunctions affect both men and women. My desire is to help people struggling with sexual problems and to help people live a more fulfilled intimacy/sexual life. I provide a non-judgmental place for people to safely articulate their concerns. I will help you figure out what is causing these struggles and help resolve them. In addition to sexual issues, I also work with people struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD and other issues.

I am passionate about working with families and their children. My goal is to help my clients identify what they can improve and guide them through achieving their personal goals, whether as an individual or a family unit. I thrive in working with teens and young adults who struggle with anxiety disorder, help my clients learn how to identify and engage in social and emotional life skills, and strongly encourages self-love and acceptance as a key tool in becoming a healthy, functioning individual. I apply cognitive approaches to engage clients in identifying root issues, processing those difficulties, and working through them.

I am continually humbled and honored to get to know each person that comes to meet with me for therapy. Each person is unique, worthy, and deserves to honor themselves by taking time to self reflect, heal, process, and challenge themselves in a safe, compassionate, and honest way. I have training in trauma recovery and have years of experience working with clients recovering from sexual, physical, emotional, and/or mental abuse. I offer therapy to couples at different stages in their relationship (pre-marital, marital, coparenting) as well as meet with families that want to work thru different familial difficulties.

My goal when working with individuals is to provide support as individuals find their own hopeful path and voice. Sometimes we get in a downward spiral or stuck in places where we are not fulfilled or content. I hope to facilitate and encourage your own strengths and passions towards feeling better. Additionally, I have worked with children and adolescents who are struggling with anxiety, stress, and depression. This phase of life can be quite difficult, particularly if you are struggling with peers or a mental health issue. Lastly, I enjoy working with young and LBGTQ+ adults as they navigate challenges and/or relationship issues.

My ideal client may be a child or adolescent dealing with feelings of worry, sadness, or frustration that may be connected to their thoughts or behaviors. They could be struggling with challenges like self- esteem, peer/familial interactions, or handling big emotions. Our goals revolve around helping my clients develop a positive and resilient mindset. I would have to say that my ideal client would be the client that only needs to see me about every 6 months for like a check up. The reason I say this is because as a Mental Health provider my goal is to help all my clients achieve a good mental health status. I want them to learn coping skills and strategies to be able to handle the problems that they may face. In doing my job that would be something that we would be able to accomplish together so that they may lead a productive and full-filled life.

I attended Harding University and graduated with my B.A. in Psychology and my M.S. in Counseling. I have 24 years of experience in the mental health field. I primarily treat adults who are suffering from depression, anxiety, trama, PTSD, relationship issues, grief, bipolar disorder, and personality disorder. I believe that every client I treat deserves respect and has the ability to empower themselves to meet their individual life goals. I love what I do and I appreciate every client who walks through my door. I have a specialization in grief therapy and trauma.
