I want to welcome and thank you for reviewing my ad. I am a pre-licensed Therapist who works with those that suffer from anxiety, behavioral issues, sexual abuse, stress, and relationship dysfunction utilizing a Cognitive Behavioral Approprach. My goal is to join with my clients to discuss current stressors, work toward processsing their emotions, and assist in determining solutions together. Whether you choose to focus on your current issues or issues from your past, together, we can work through those issues and develop appropriate coping skills which will lead to manageable behaviors.

Struggling with the effects of trauma can feel isolating. I am a resident in counseling working toward my LPC. I specialize in aiding those struggling with anxiety, depression, complex trauma, PTSD, self-harm, sexual struggles, and some addictions. My approach is rooted in sensorimotor psychotherapy, interpersonal neurobiology, neuroscience, and narrative therapy, among other evidence-based practices. With a deep understanding of how trauma impacts the brain, mind, and body, I provide a safe space for healing; by listening and understanding your perspective to identify what’s working and what needs change.

Every person is and will encounter life struggles. During those times, everyone needs at least one person who can listen to their stories and walk with them toward wellness- and I want to be that person for my clients. My strength as a counselor is in my awareness of understanding how people come from different backgrounds. My goal in therapy is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space to help each client to identify their authentic self and walk toward potential growth.

As an LPC with 20+ yrs of experience, I feel honored to be able to work with many different clients during what is often a vulnerable time. I bring empathy and compassion to therapy sessions, which may focus on trauma, anxiety, depression, postpartum/perinatal mood disorders, eating disorders, infertility, parenting and addictions. I also work with grief and loss, including pregnancy and child loss. I specialize in navigating relationship crises, infidelity and narcissistic abuse. Many clients are LGBTQ+, and come in for gender affirming care. I am the founder of Falls Church Wellness Center, a mental & physical health facility.

I believe in a strength-based approach that is holistic, integrative and client-centered. I provide a non-judgmental and compassionate atmosphere in which clients can safely explore and work through feelings, thoughts, images and beliefs that may be keeping them stuck.
