Whether working with individuals, couples, or families, I am committed to treating the whole person or relationship, not just the symptom.
Life is not easy, and being happy with our lives, relationships, and who we are can be challenging. Add stress to the mix, and our lives can suddenly feel out of control. I am here to help you regain control in all aspects of your life. Do you struggle with communication? Are you quick to anger? Are you using unhealthy ways to cope? Are your relationships suffering? I approach clients’ struggles through a systemic lens. Our experiences, family, relationships, and culture all influence who we are and contribute to our ups and downs.

Pulling from 20 years in the field, I have specialized experience with relationship dynamics, family therapy, complex emotional wounding and trauma, parent coaching and consulting, children and adolescents, substance use disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, severe mental illness, life transitions, and disordered eating.
Have you tried everything to understand or fix a problem, but it just keeps showing up? I believe complicated problems require complex understanding. I aim to help every client gain greater insight into themselves and the dynamics at play in their life, relationships, and experience. Insight alone can have a powerful and significant impact on progress and is at the heart of my work. However, lasting change often also requires learning and trying new ways of interacting with the world. I offer information, suggestions, and encouragement to assist you in feeling, thinking, and, ultimately, living better.

Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, shame, loneliness, or grief? Do you feel "stuck" in life? Are your relationships weighing you down rather than building you up? You have taken a brave and difficult step—you have acknowledged that there is a problem. As your therapist, we develop a safe and nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship. I have a holistic, client-centered, intuitive and direct approach. Having battled my own anxiety and depression, I use many techniques that have been helpful on my own journey, including mindfulness-based tools, CBT, and relational psychotherapy. I also provide ketamine assisted psychotherapy.

Through an online platform, I assist individuals to recognize their right to a healthy, trusting relationship with self and others.
We’ve all had sexual encounters we regret. It’s normal. However, what if you engage in sexual behaviors time after time despite the fact you don’t want to anymore? What if hating yourself for it or hurting someone you love by doing it isn’t convincing enough to refrain? I help those whose love and sex experiences are driven by compulsion and preoccupation rather than spontaneity and freedom. Many might identify as addicts or describe their behavior as out of control. Others call it problematic, while some may not really know what it is. In any case, sex, porn, or intimacy has become an overpowering force in your daily life.

I use several treatment modalities in my work, however, the most important aspect of therapy is ensuring you feel safe, heard, and respected in the therapeutic relationship.
Do you find yourself struggling to connect with others? Do you struggle in relationships of all kinds, feel like you don't fit in or are constantly misunderstood? Could your low self-esteem be creating a barrier for you to connect to others and yourself? Are you ever afraid of the emotions you experience or find yourself avoiding those more difficult emotions? I will be your advocate to love yourself and to feel more connected in your relationships and to the world around you. In therapy we will work to increase your feelings of self-worth, improve relationships, and reignite that spark that has been seemingly lost.

Relationships are powerful. They have the power to inspire us, help us grow, or they can smother and even damage us. We spend much of our time and energy engaged in relationships, tolerating, fixing, and avoiding relationships. I believe that relationships are powerful vehicles for change. As a psychotherapist, I offer a relationship that is warm, challenging, accepting, and personal where you can feel a full range of emotions, learn, grow, and attain your goals.

Occasional anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties are a natural part of life but shouldn't outweigh the joy and satisfaction that life can offer. My task is to hear and understood you well, so that you will come to know yourself better identify the "blind spots" that are keeping you stuck and make the changes you're hoping for hard to achieve.

I believe that healing cannot occur unless a solid therapeutic relationship is built and maintained.
I approach therapy with the intent to get to know you on a core level. This includes understanding your feelings, thoughts, behaviors, desires, and relationships. We then collaboratively use this information to make meaning of your experiences both past and present. I pay attention to your emotional presence and seek to understand how your past experiences may be leading you to protect yourself from vulnerability and uncomfortable feelings. This understanding can help you engage more actively with yourself and enriches your interpersonal relationships.

Meaningful healing, growth, and change often take place in the context of a relationship.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas. I have 8+ years of experience working with individuals coming from a range of circumstances and backgrounds. My formative work primarily involved working with adolescents, families, and couples dealing with crises in a social service setting. Through that experience, I found that my true passion lies within a few specialties: couples & family counseling, adolescents & young adults, LGBTQI+, EMDR, stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma.

New couples are often reluctant to seek help. Be it stigma surrounding couple's therapy, or feeling like they have not been together "long enough," couples usually wait until resentment and unhappiness have grown to distressing levels before reaching out for help. According to relationship expert Dr. John Gottman, couples often endure an average of six years of unhappiness before seeking help. Why let years of resentment build up when you can spend that time strengthening your bond and finding new ways to overcome and adapt to life's inevitable conflicts?

I bring an honest and authentic intention to work with you as a unique, whole person; one that is not defined by a label or diagnosis. I enjoy partnering with clients who are curious and open to working on improving stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues (romantic, family or work) and/or are searching for fulfillment, hope and answers to all the 'why's. Our environment will be warm, empathetic and judgement-free to explore your experiences and, if you are up to it, discuss previous trauma(s). We will collaborate on goals and the path to get you where you want to go.

Each therapy encounter and relationship is tailored to meet the client's individual needs.
I typically work with high functioning people trying to regain a sense of control over their lives. Depression, anxiety, as well as other difficulties stem from relational problems, both past and present, that when explored lead to symptom relief. This can be done in individual, group, or couples therapy.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
