I believe that self-care is a worthwhile investment that could end unnecessary suffering and improve the quality of your life. People may hesitate to participate in therapy services. You are welcome to address any questions or concerns that you have before you share personal experiences, thoughts, and feelings. I look forward to providing the help and support you need to finish your treatment program so that you can move on with your life!

Everyone enters therapy with different goals. Whether a person is very clear on what they want to accomplish or still figuring things out, I encourage them to make choices at their own pace. I believe every person is the expert of their own experiences. I prioritize working with sick/mad/disabled, queer and trans people of color of all ages, but particularly late adolescents and emerging/young adults. I am affirming, sex and kink positive, and experienced in helping navigate poly & non-monogamous relationships. I also specialize in exploring and building skills/resources with neurodivergent individuals.

In a time of struggles or life transition, you may feel stuck, unsure, or overwhelmed. I believe in your resiliency being within you, sitting within your body, and I will guide you in exploring your inner power with compassion, safety, and empowerment. I value cultural humility and believe in a holistic approach that is centered on you and your experiences in our therapy sessions. I integrate collaborative insight-driven discussion and movement-based interventions, which helps me to address both your physical (body) and emotional (mind) needs in a neutral and non-judgmental manner.

Finding the right therapist is based upon the connection and "goodness of fit". My approach to providing therapy is collaborative, relational, direct, warmth and with a sense of humor. If you have been having challenges and or stuck with creating meaningful changes in your life, I will help you first identify the kinds of roadblocks & blinders that are preventing you to give you a better understanding of why it has been difficult. There were patterns from your history, relationships & past conditioning that we might need to dive in to process. My hope is to engage, empower & foster hope towards your healing, learning & growth

I work with a broad range of couples, families, and individuals. I am especially interested in grief & loss, trauma, and medical family therapy. I want to create an environment where my clients feel safe enough to hold space for the big emotions. I remember the exact moment I first felt heard and understood in therapy, and it was one of the most healing experiences I have ever had. It felt like I could take a breath after holding it for so long. I feel so grateful to be on the other side and give others that monumental moment.

Welcome, folks. I'm a licensed clinical professional counselor, trained dance/movement therapist, and empowerment coach. I specialize in the treatment and training of trauma work. Over the past eleven years, I've worked with diverse populations in a number of different settings including residential rehabilitation, Cook County Jail, and community mental health. As a therapist who is grateful for the therapy I've received, I can confidently say I get it from both sides. Therapy is a vulnerable process. That's why I pride myself on providing a nonjudgmental, compassionate, and authentic space that is tailored to the individual.

Hi there! Good for you for looking for a therapist :) I encourage you to do consultations or sessions with multiple therapists. You'll quickly see that we're vastly different. Remember grade school teachers? They could make or break a class, and maybe there were only a few you really connected with. Also true for therapy! So book at least a few consults and sessions; the search itself can be therapeutic. Two major things to look for are emotional safety ("Can share things without feeling judged?") and resonance ("Do they get me?"). Most importantly, practice trusting your intuition.

The clients who are the best fit for my clinical approach tend to be people who want to build a stronger sense of self, learn how to center their own needs and set boundaries, and are open to inner child healing. The clients I work with want to change their relationship with themselves to be more compassionate and nurturing. They are recovering people pleasers, people who want to learn how to be more assertive, often have unresolved trauma, and are ready to break cycles in order to establish new patterns. They seek support from me to discuss dating, relationships, sex, childhood traumas, identity, and healing from abuse and neglect.

Asking for help is hard and takes a lot of strength to do. Asking for help also shows just enough self worth to better one’s self. My clients primarily attend counseling to seek emotional support, guidance in their healing process, and regain their self worth and confidence. They also are working towards self empowerment and growth towards emotional stability. Clients also learn to change the negative beliefs and narratives created from past childhood or relationship abuse and trauma. I have also seen clients who find their faith as a foundation of their healing and I am trained in Immanuel Prayer by request.
