I offer individual therapy services for those experiencing anxiety, depression, transition struggles, grief and trauma. I also assist with facilitating better communication skills between children and their caregivers or between couples. The goal of therapy is to facilitate a relationship where the client feels comfortable and motivated to work on their individual area(s) of concern. You're in the driver's seat, I assist with providing a road map to reach your individual goals.

I have 18 years experience as a social worker and also have several years experience as a professor in Social Work. My experience is diverse as I've worked with adolescents, mentally challenged, drug and alcohol, geriatrics, grief and bereavement, marital counseling, and have helped clients with various mental health diagnoses. I pride myself in not just talking with the client but working jointly to find meaningful, measurable goals during therapy allowing for clients to see proof of progress throughout the course of treatment. I have worked as a therapist for agencies and now independently for a combined 10 years.

In-person sessions offered at the Johnstown office. I will continue to offer virtual sessions too! Counseling doesn’t always have to involve diving into deep childhood trauma, though sometimes it does. Counseling can be the place to explore existential themes that we encounter throughout the human experience, such as meaninglessness, loneliness, shame, inauthenticity, and more. It can be the place where we find acceptance and validation that encourages us to take steps to achieve our goals for a more fulfilling existence. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has experience in the child welfare system. I have been working in the counseling field for over 10 years, and I have been license eligible since 2019. I have worked with families and individuals on a variety of different concerns. I am a certified Safe Care parenting coach, and a Certified Family Trauma Professional. I have recently been working towards a a Trauma Focused CBT certification. I have experience working with families and improving communication concerns between parents and children.
