Cove Forge Behavioral Health provides a partial hospitalization program (PHP) for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with addictions and co-occurring mental health concerns. Many patients enter this level of care following residential treatment, but some people enter our PHP directly. Individuals reside in housing at our residential location in Williamsburg, Pennsylvania, and take part in programming for six hours per day, seven days a week, for a minimum of 14 days. However, each person's individual needs determine their actual length of stay. Patients in our PHP can benefit from a variety of services, which may include medication management; individual, family, group, and experiential therapies; and specialized recovery groups. Topics covered in groups may include relapse prevention strategies, stress management, building healthy relationships, and coping skills. Individuals in our PHP can also take advantage of our music groups, spirituality groups, gym time, and structured daily activities.

We come to therapy for many different reasons. Maybe we've lost someone close to us. Maybe we feel disempowered and unmotivated at work and at home. Or we're drowning in rage. Or shame. Or fear. Maybe we have a tendency that interrupts our connections with others and our self-growth. Maybe we can't bring our selves to forgive. Or certain memories have hijacked our very being. But the most vital reason we come to therapy is that we want to grow: we have imagined something else and we want change. That in itself is momentous.

Opioid addiction can negatively impact virtually every part of a person’s life. In addition to damaging a person’s physical and mental health, an untreated opioid addiction can also undermine their ability to maintain healthy relationships, make appropriate progress in school or at work, establish financial independence, and otherwise fully engage in a satisfying lifestyle. Thankfully, opioid addiction is a treatable condition. Several decades of research has documented the effectiveness of medication-assisted treatment, or MAT, in helping people end their opioid use and remain in recovery. MAT uses prescription medications that can ease some of the more severe symptoms of opioid withdrawal. These medications allow MAT patients to stop using opioids without experiencing the overwhelming distress that would occur if they tried to end their substance abuse on their own. MAT patients also participate in counseling. The counseling component of MAT addresses the social and behavioral aspects of opioid addiction and recovery. Counseling can help MAT patients understand the root causes of their struggles with opioid addiction and identify triggers that could threaten their recovery.

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is a form of opioid addiction treatment that combines the use of FDA-approved prescription medications with counseling services. It can be challenging to stop using opioids due to distressing physical withdrawal symptoms that can interfere with a person’s commitment to recovery. For this reason, getting professional help can be a crucial first step in healing. Organizations such as the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) support MAT as a first-line approach for treating opioid addiction. Harrisburg Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) prescribes multiple medications to reduce or eliminate opioid withdrawal symptoms, which can allow people to focus on recovery. In addition, our clinic’s counseling component aims to help people develop skills that can prevent relapse. The combination of medication and therapy can be effective in treating opioid use disorder because it addresses the physical and emotional aspects of addiction together.

Rehab in Cambria County

Clients who are looking for Drug Rehab in Cambria County or Alcohol Rehab in Cambria County can find help at a treatment center. The first step towards recovery usually requires clients to detox in Cambria County under medical supervision, and follow-up with a period of intensive therapy at the center.

INPATIENT or OUTPATIENT?

Residential inpatient treatment in Cambria County consists of 24-hour care at a live-in facility. Full treatment services, including medical and behavioral therapy, are provided all at one location.

Outpatient treatment programs in Cambria County provide flexibility to those who are unable to take time away from their regular lives, work or school. Programs typically meet at the clinic a couple of times every week for a few hours at a time.

Certain programs provide a combination of the in/out approach: Inpatient for medical stabilization, partial hospitalization for moderate cases, intensive outpatient programs, and outpatient clinics for follow-up. For instance, opiate abusers may find it helpful to begin their abstinence with a brief but intensive outpatient opiate drug detox in Cambria County.

Cambria County Eating Disorders

Eating Disorder Treatment Centres in Cambria County help treat a range of eating and food issues, such as childhood feeding disorders, food avoidance, obesity, Anorexia, Bulimia or compulsive overeating, binge eating, night eating, and body image issues.

They address the destructive behaviors and underlying emotional issues of disordered eating. Their programs can include family involvement and are designed to help patients in Cambria County develop the skills they need to make lifelong change.

How Treatment Centres Can Help

Treatment centers in Cambria County help clients with substance abuse issues, drug abuse, and pain treatment, as well as eating disorders. Treatment centers generally offer 30-day recovery programs, or longer-term 60 and 90-day programs.

The first step when you arrive in treatment is to begin a drug detox or alcohol detox. Medical professionals monitor your detox program to make sure that your detox is safe and appropriate.

The second step at most treatment centers is to begin therapy, either in groups or individually. Most Cambria County treatment centers for alcohol or drug abuse emphasize this step as the beginning of the road to recovery.

Successful treatment also includes a plan for when you leave your treatment center. Whether it is alcoholics anonymous, or engaging with family and friends, the best treatment centers in Cambria County provide counselors who guide you in preparing a plan to stay substance-free.
