Complicated launchings of teenagers and young adults are my specialty. I work with families to identify risk factors, such as ADHD, learning difficulties, anxiety and depression, in their young person that can interfere with successful launching either through college or the work force. With improved self-awareness and self-management skills, these young adults are more able to make their way in the world. Parents are part of the treatment team as the young adult can't do it without you. Identifying launching goals and developing the skills to achieve those goals are critical to the process.

C. Educational Therapy & Coaching designs personalized goal oriented plans to meet the specific need of boosting your overall mental health. Our team can enhance the productivity of student success by participating in educational therapy with our state certified educator, who will teach strategies to help identify and realign behaviors to yield academic success. In addition to educational therapy, clients may also benefit from mental health life coaching. Life Coaches help clients manage emotional responses, challenge negative thinking patterns, enhance relational skills, and decrease the experiences of stress and/or anxiety.

Children spend the majority of their time existing in a world built for adults. When they face challenges, they are often offered solutions that work for adults and, when those solutions don't work, it causes frustration for all parties involved. They may start to struggle with their behavior, struggle emotionally, and suffer socially. When these behavioral or mental health concerns are addressed appropriately, with techniques made for kids, growth and progress can occur, and that frustration can be relieved.
