My name is Caleb Stephens, and I am an Intersectional Clinician. The reality of therapy is that it is inaccessible to most, and the majority of therapists gear their therapy around themselves, and not around the needs of the client, nor the layers of identity that exist. I am not a traditional therapist, as I am also an Activist, and the majority of the work that I do is Identity work. This is about meeting you where you're at, and I'm here for it.

Check out our website for more details! I became a therapist because of a void that has existed for decades. A void that allowed black and brown people to be left to find sometimes inadequate ways of dealing with real mental health issues. As you search you will find very few people that look like me that are in profession of mental health. This is unfortunate. Although my caseload is hugely diverse, what comforts my clients is I represent what in my field is lacking...a representative from a disenfranchised group of people helping to build up the individual, repairing relationships and making families whole.

Trying to keep it together can be exhausting when you feel your life is falling apart. You’re likely feeling overwhelmed, questioning everything, and maybe not recognizing the person you’ve become. You’re trying your best but stressed, showing up to places nervous, exhausted, and uncertain of what to do next. Together, we will figure out the root of what’s going on, discover your innate strengths, find your authentic voice, and develop coping skills so you can reconnect with yourself and those you care about.

Mija, no matter what others tell you, you are enough. Maybe you don't believe this yet, but by the time you walk out of your last therapy session, you will have acquired the necessary tools and experiences to believe this is true. Reaching out for help isn’t easy, te entiendo. As an immigrant woman myself, I’ve seen the pressure we feel to succeed for our families, the fear of vulnerability, the feeling that we live in two worlds, or the difficulty of putting our emotions into words without feeling like a burden or a failure.

My ideal client is a human person living on the earth. I believe that even though the human experience is subjective and unique, there are ways to connect and heal that transcend the superficial and speak to the core essence of our humanity and our shared experience of being alive. All humans suffer trauma and even though the specific details are unique, the experience of grief and recovery have universal features that are accessible to anyone who seeks them out. I believe that all humans are equal and that everyone deserves to feel heard and seen. I am here to facilitate healing and growth in a non-judgmental and fun environment

I don’t know when it happened but as a Christian wife and mother I invested much of my energy into making sure my husband and children were successful. I played by the rules of what a “virtuous woman” should be and lost track of the hopes and aspirations I had for my life. I even came to the place where I wasn’t sure who I was or the reason for which I was created. Was it too much to ask to for the things I wanted? Peace of mind with being my authentic self, the space to discover and live out the purpose and destiny for my life, and to tap into God's power to make a difference in the lives of other women walking a similar journey.

Working through a trauma-informed lens, I have extensive training in working with fellow members of the LGBTQIA+ community, while utilizing clinical and evidence-based therapeutic modalities - all while using a secular approach. I largely work with teens through their college years, and adults.

Truly, the hardest step in this journey is taking that first step by reaching out. My passion is in helping you lift the burden you’ve been carrying and identifying ways of bettering your relationship with yourself and others in your life. Many people struggle with feeling like in order to be strong they need to push through and avoid the hurt they’ve been carrying, and that shows up in detrimental ways in their relationships and in their careers.
