Greetings, welcome to my profile! I earned my Masters in Rehabilitation and Counseling from Kent State University, Ohio. For over three decades, I have dedicated my life to the treatment and empowerment of individuals struggling from addictions and other disabling conditions. My aim is to advocate, counsel and empower each individual to overcome and become their better selves. As a holistic counselor, my goal is always to encourage and inspire each client. Using evidence based counseling to ignite a client's inner potential to achieve their own dreams and goals.

These traumas and emotional imprints so often derive from our family or origin, current and past intimate relationships and the slow grind of neglect, invalidation and feeling alone.

No matter how strong we are, sometimes life can throw some pretty tough challenges at us. Mental health issues can have different sources that can be addressed in sessions. I have many years of experience working with early childhood trauma and severe, persistent mental illness, varying from ages of 5 years to 70+. My goal is to empower and advocate for positive change within you, as the individual, and the system as a whole. The place that we will create together is a safe and judgement free space. I work through an Existential foundation, to help those I work with seek meaning and purpose, with skills built from experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy, all within the context of a trauma-informed approach.

Individuals thrive toward their potential when their relationships are healthy and supportive. Being in healthy relationship is how we, as individuals and families, are sustained in the long term. Relationships that are healthy are consistent, have structure, are interdependent, and provide instruction that fosters individual and collective resiliency and progress. When relationships are in crisis, individuals must be guided toward identifying the behaviors and attitudes that bring on conflict. When this awareness is achieved, change is possible. Here, attention to individual and relationship needs is equally important in the therapeutic process.

St. John the Baptist Recovery Outreach Center, a Ministry of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland, was established to aid personal struggling with addiction to drugs and alcohol. We collaborate extensively with other community agencies, hospitals, residential programs, and sober living to provide barrier removal and access to treatment services for clients seeking recovery. We take a holistic approach to treatment, combining both substance use and mental health services.

Hello, my name is Bill DeFelice. I am a masters degreed level mental health therapist in the state of Ohio. I am licensed with my LPCCS. A secondary license that I have is an LICDC-CS. This enables me to treat clients who may be addicted to drugs. My focus areas of counseling are Mood Disorders(Depression, and Bi-Polar disorder), Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Family Counseling, Relationship Counseling and ADHD.
