I have a great passion to help people of all ages, religions backgrounds, genders and sexualities. It has always been important that my clients and I have a good relationship based on mutual respect and understanding. I have been working in the mental health field for 10 years. In this time I have done extensive work in schools (advocacy, counseling, IEP/ETR work, and making plans for student success), in hospitals, and in client's homes. In this time I have picked up the ability to work with any situation, big or small.
Counseling should be about walking with someone on their path to recovery. To attain this goal I believe that people need to feel accepted and strong in all aspects of their lives. This is my guiding principle to my counseling approach. Being well is a combination of mind and body.
I have training in Sand Tray, DBT, Meditation, CBT, Play Therapy, and Solution Focused. I have worked with clients on concerns with Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, Addiction, ADHD, Phobias, Personality Disorders, sexuality and relationship concerns, Autism, and parenting. My goal is to help my clients enjoy all aspects of their lives.
