Hello, Let me introduce myself. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), as well as licensed School Psychologist here in New Jersey and in Montana. My path in life has pass through several different careers; I was a New York City school teacher, New Jersey School Psychologist, and currently working as a psychotherapist. Although trained to treat a variety of disorders, my passion lies in treating adults that have had childhood relational injuries - childhood trauma. I am trained in EMDR, Somatic healing, DBT. In all my experience I have learned that it is truly the relationship between therapist and client that matters most.

You seem to have it all together on the outside. You live by the golden rule, working hard, extending compassion and taking care of everyone but yourself. You conditioned yourself to say “I am fine” when you know you are not. You feel stuck in negative cycles and perhaps distract yourself from uncomfortable feelings by over working, shopping or drinking too much. You are constantly in survival mode, feeling stressed, anxious, tired, confused and overwhelmed.

Healing Pathways Counseling & Supervision Center, LLC was created in 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and in recognition of a growing need for accessible mental health care for adults that is culturally inclusive as well as trauma informed. We know that pursuing mental health care can be daunting. Between navigating your insurance coverage and finding a clinician whose expertise aligns with your needs, it can feel like a full time job. Our goal is to remove as many barriers to care as possible, so you can focus on what is important: Healing and Relief.

It is my professional goal to create a supportive and safe environment for individuals and couples to explore how they want to live, love and overcome challenges. My role is to provide tools and insights to help my clients enhance resiliency, inspire change, live more genuinely and understand themselves more completely. Prior to entering the counseling field, I served as a NJ Registered Pharmacist (RPh). During this time, I obtained my Masters in Counseling from Montclair State & taught in that department for 3 years. For the next 20+ years, I served as Associate Director for The Willow Tree Center, an alcohol, tobacco and drug prevention & treatment agency. I am now in a private practice called Willow Tree Counseling Associates and provide services as a Licensed Professional Counselor and as a Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor.

Many of us feel like we are stuck in the same old patterns that no longer serve us. Or like we are “doing it all” while feeling overwhelmed and unfulfilled. My name is Erika Regalado and I'm a proud first generation Latin American with a Cuban and Ecuadorian background. I specialize in working with couples, married individuals and families. My passion for working with families in addition to my extensive training has equipped me to work with individuals across the lifespan (children, adolescents, adults and older adults). I use a Narrative and Cognitive Behavioral therapy approach when working with clients to best understand how your thoughts and internalized story-telling may be impacting your feelings and behavior while providing practical evidence-based techniques to address targeted

I like to use a variety of evidenced-based practices with each person I work with, based on your individual needs. Being a child of first generation immigrants and from the South Asian community, I truly understand and respect the religions and cultures.

I am a NJ Licensed Psychologist & a NJ Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor with more than 30 years experience. I use a biopsychosocial model of assessment. I have worked in a number of places including: a domestic violence shelter, prisons, drug treatment facilities, colleges, a high school, nursing facilities, Joint Base MDL & Disability Determinations. I provide Telemedicine Only treatment (not face to face). for State of NJ Residents Only. We meet through a therapy portal. I do not provide couples, or family therapy, or treatment in Spanish.
