Many people I see have trouble coping with day to day living due to deeply rooted issues that have been troubling them for a long time. Others are dealing with issues that may be interfering with work, school or personal relationships. I have excellent results working with clients who are motivated to gain insight into difficulties in their lives in order to resolve existing conflicts.

I have worked with individuals, couples and groups for the past 30+ years. My interest is in being a catalyst for change - helping people find and lead more fulfilling lives - has not wavered but rather, increased. It has, and continues to be an exciting privelege for me to be invited into my clients' lives with the common goal of facilitating new personal insights and enhancing relationships both at "home" and in clients' broader social communities.

JFCS works with clients from a variety of social, cultural, and economic backgrounds. All the therapists work hard to build trusting relationships with their clients, so that they can feel safe and empowered. Clients can meet us at one of our two Monmouth County locations (Asbury Park and Morganville) or via telehealth session. We have a variety of services available including:

My aim is to promote healing with an eclectic approach to treatment within an environment of compassionate "presence". By building strong, safe and trusting therapeutic relationship and applying a treatment strategy appropriate for the given client, significant healing change can manifest.

Accepting New Clients: It is my belief that therapy is a mutual endeavor in which clients and therapists work together to explore healthy ways of coping with life stressors, environmental influences, and relationships that impact functioning and well being. Having worked in a myriad of settings, I am familiar with the sensitive issues and challenges associated with depression, anxiety, gender identify, substance use and/or traumatic history for both teens and adults. By utilizing an eclectic approach to therapy, you will be supported in the pursuit of your individual needs and will be met with unconditional positive regard.

I believe you already have the answer to your problem. If you’re unaware of that answer, my job is to help you uncover it. If you’re conscious of it, my job is to help you accept it. In both cases, we work together as you decide what you’re going to do next. Either way, you are the expert on your own life. I ask the questions and help you sift through your options.

I have over a decade's worth of experience assisting diverse populations of children, adolescents, teens in crisis, adults, couples, families and individuals with advanced illnesses in managing and overcoming a wide array of issues including: emotional, physical and sexual abuse; trauma; adjustment difficulties; emotional, behavioral and relational disturbances; substance abuse; and gender/sexuality issues. Through my experience and training I have gained a strong understanding of diverse identities, including gender and sexual identities, as well as sexual and relational issues. Therefore, I am able to provide gender therapy for transgender and gender-expansive individuals from a non-pathological perspective.

I received a doctorate in psychology and religion as well as formal training in individual, marriage and family therapy. I have 25+ years of experience offering relational psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families and groups.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master's Degree from William Paterson University in Clinical and Counseling Psychology. I have over 7 years of experience in talk therapy working with individuals, couples, and families in partial care programs, intensive outpatient, and outpatient agency settings. In my last role at Center for Children's Behavioral health I served as program director while maintaining a client caseload. My clinical approach is integrated and incorporates a variety of different theoretical orientations including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and more.

I truly believe that everyone deserves a helping hand and support through life, especially through some of our darkest and most difficult moments. I am passionate about working with women who are navigating a major life transition but are finding themselves exhausted by their inner critic, judging themselves to the point of being stuck and shut down from their creative expression.
