About
Life transitions can create extreme stress as well as profound opportunity. Relationships that we depend on; with our spouse, parents, children, colleagues inevitably change and may benefit from a fresh perspective. My expertise enables us to examine these relationships with compassion, facilitating insight that can lead to change. I received a doctorate in psychology and religion as well as formal training in individual, marriage and family therapy. I have 25+ years of experience offering relational psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families and groups.
I use the languages of both spiritual practice and psychology as I listen and respond to a whole range of human relational experience. I am conversant in the language of faith, however I am also sensitive to ways in which religion may have caused confusion or done damage. My training in systems, whether family, workplace or culture, informs my treatment.
By spiritual I refer to the cultivation of certain mind states that have been proven to enhance psychological, physical and emotional wellbeing. Persons, couples and families of all persuasions are welcome, There is no religious agenda.
