Sometimes in our lives, we can become overwhelmed by emotions that feel like they could blow us over. Letting ourselves feel these emotions may seem like too much or too inconvenient. As a result, we may begin to hide these emotions through denial, isolation from loved ones, or by acting out. Of course, over time, this can be exhausting and lonely. It can also take a toll on our relationships, as well as our physical, emotional and spiritual health. My hope for you and I is to collaboratively discover ways to meet moments of challenge with openness and kindness.
I believe that every individual has the innate capacity to heal themselves and that this is best achieved within the safety of a supportive relationship. As I see it, my role as a therapist is to join with you, to be present with you, and to explore what would bring you closer to fulfilling your goals and living out your values in an authentic way.
Life can be depleting, at times, for most people. I hope to share and partner with you to find ways to do the things that fill you back up, and cope with the things that inevitably come and shake it all up.
