Welcome! I am Ashley Taylor and I would love to help you on your journey to healing. I have experience working with children, teens, adults, and families and have worked with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues such as but not limited to anxiety, depression, OCD, parenting skills, relationship issues, trauma, and women’s issues.

I provide a safe place for you to explore issues that are posing difficulties in the various areas of your life. I have a personal testimony. My discipline in the counseling field target comorbidity in individuals. I facilitate substance-use groups. I provide you with the tools to assist you to gain control of your life. I won't tell you how much I know until you see how much I care. If life is not becoming to you, then you should come to me. Let me help you gain control.

I offer counseling for Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, and women's issues. Because I understand that life goes on despite our thoughts and feelings, I feel it's important to be a guide and a soundboard to help you address your issues head-on while maintaining and sustaining new and better habits of self-care, mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness and distress tolerance.

I'm currently accepting new client appointments and have immediate availability. Do you or someone you know struggle with pushing away big emotions? Many people try to avoid painful feelings and thoughts. Avoiding and ignoring painful emotions feels good at the moment and can help you survive trauma. However, if you continue to ignore emotional pain, your body can store that pain. As a result, you may feel numb or easily overwhelmed. Avoidance can become addictive, diminish your tolerance, and can lead to you choosing harmful methods to cope with stressors.

Are you a successful, gifted adult who has all the boxes checked yet still wonders, "Is there more to life?" Have you been feeling like you need to make a change but you're not quite sure where or how to start? It can be hard to trust that there's someone out there who could really "get" you and help you create the dream life you truly desire. Flourishing is the concept of living life with purpose, meaning, connection, and vibrant well-being. You may not be struggling with mental illness, per se, but you may be languishing. And that can feel particularly frustrating because it just feels like living in the "blah" zone day after day.

As a family systems therapist, I view clients from the perspective of their holistic environment. Together we will look at where you are coming from, and where you want to go. I work with clients between 13-80 experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, loss, trauma, relationship issues, marital conflict, family conflict, major life adjustments, adolescent issues, parenting issues, men’s issues, and more. I also work with couples and families to improve communication, process trauma, and enhance relationships. There is a soft spot in my heart for teens, young families, couples, men, and those who grieve.

Our work is dedicated to helping ALL people develop healthy, satisfying, productive, and meaningful lives. Though it can be difficult to make the decision to begin therapy, we have found that those who have sought help and take responsibility for their emotional heath and relationships have achieved remarkable results. People come to us for a variety of reasons: they may be in transition, experiencing work stress, grieving a loss, struggling with religious or family ideals which no longer suit them, a new parent experiencing anxiety. Some have begun to feel daily life is stagnant, seeking more direction and purpose in their lives.

As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHCS), I work with children & adolescents, adults & families to help build meaningful, purposeful lives. Whether it's couple's conflict, stress & anxiety, binge eating, depression, or grief, my goal is to create a calm space to explore thoughts and feelings. I bring evidence based skills - treatments that work - to the process of healing and change. If you feel stuck and can’t seem to move forward, I want to offer you hope that life can get better.

If you were a drop of water and you dropped into the ocean it would cause a ripple effect. Or, if you dropped onto land the surface would rearrange. This is what we do every day. We connect and interact with each other causing changes. We are not alone on this planet. We have purpose. We might think we are islands but an island is still connected to the main land, the connection is just covered by a mass of water. With couples I take this foundation and focus on attachment, or our need for emotional bonding.

We bring an array of experience to ensure your needs are met.

On the outside, you put on a mask showing everyone you have a great life. You are dependable, hardworking, and happy. But on the inside, you feel lost, hopeless, and never good enough. You are seen as withdrawn, anxious, lazy, angry, unreliable, or any number of other things. Except you aren’t! You just cannot get a handle on your brain. You have frequent thoughts that things will never get better. You spend every day trying to keep it together, but you just cannot do it anymore. You don’t have to feel this way.

I believe that your life has a purpose, and I am here to help you find YOUR Purpose! People asked all the time HOW?! How can I change, How Can I stop feeling this way?
